An endoscope optical connector includes: a sleeve which houses an end portion of an optical fiber inside the sleeve; an inward flange provided on an inner circumference of the sleeve; a glass member arranged inside the sleeve so as to face an end surface of the optical fiber; a cap member which is attached to the sleeve and which fixes the glass member between the cap member and the inward flange; a first O-ring interposed between the cap member and the glass member; a second O-ring interposed between the glass member and the inward flange and having a glass transition point lower than a glass transition point of the first O-ring; and an inert gas filling the inside of the sleeve.

An optical module is configured being provided with: a first case fixed to an implementation surface of an implementation substrate to cover an LD and an LD driver; a first filler filled in the first case to seal the LD and the LD driver; a second case fixed to the implementation surface of the implementation substrate to cover the first case in a state of not adhering to the first case; a third case accommodating the implementation substrate and the second case inside; and a second filler filled in the third case to seal the implementation substrate and the second case.

Optical module and endoscope

An optical signal transmission module is provided, in which a lens surface for condensing light emitted from an LD configured to convert an electrical signal to an optical signal and emit light of the optical signal is integrally formed on an end portion of an optical fiber, a mounting substrate for the LD to be mounted is configured with a specially-shaped substrate, and a fixing portion (a fixing hole portion) for the optical fiber to be fixed is integrally formed on the mounting substrate, at a position where the light emitted from the LD (the light of the optical signal) can be incident on the lens surface.

An endoscope includes an optical transmission module configured to convert each of the image pickup signal and the test signal into an optical signal and output the optical signal, and a signal amplitude measuring section configured to add signal amplitude information to the image pickup signal and the test signal, and a video processor includes an optical reception module configured to receive the optical signals and convert each of the optical signals into an electric signal and output the electric signal, an information acquiring section configured to acquire transmission information on each of the optical signals, the transmission information including the signal amplitude information, a determination section configured to determine a state of transmission of the optical signal, and a power supply adjusting section configured to adjust the applied voltage for the optical transmission module according to a result of the determination and output the applied voltage.

An endoscope system includes: an image sensor; a transmission module; a first optical fiber; a first optical connector; a second optical connector; a communication mode stabilizing unit configured to smooth an optical beam; a second optical fiber having a core diameter larger than a core diameter of the first optical fiber; a reception module; a first correction optical system including a first lens and configured to increase a beam diameter of an optical signal output from an end of the first optical fiber, and a second lens configured to convert the optical signal whose beam diameter is increased by the first lens into parallel light; and a second correction optical system. The second optical fiber is a step index optical fiber, and the communication mode stabilizing unit smoothes the optical beam by using a larger area of a core of the first optical fiber.

An imaging unit provided at a tip portion of an endoscope includes: an imaging element configured to receive light and perform photoelectric conversion on the light to generate an electrical signal; an oscillator configured to generate a clock signal for driving the imaging element; a photoelectric element configured to convert the electrical signal generated by the imaging element into an optical signal and to output the optical signal to outside; a regulator configured to convert electric power input from the outside into electric power depending on each of the imaging element, the oscillator, and the photoelectric element, and to supply the converted electric power thereto. The imaging element is spaced farther than the oscillator and the photoelectric element from the regulator.

Imaging unit

An optical transmitting and receiving unit includes: an optical transmitting module having a light emitting element and having a metal case that stores the light emitting element; an optical connector having a ferrule for holding an optical fiber and having a flange portion provided at one end of the ferrule, the ferrule being inserted into a sleeve of the metal case to connect the optical connector with the optical transmitting module; and a tubular waterproof cap that has a bottom, with one end open and the other end closed, and caps the optical connector to seal an optical connecting portion between the optical connector and the optical transmitting module in a watertight manner. The metal case has step portions with different outside diameters. One of the step portions closest to the optical connecting portion contacts an inner surface of the waterproof cap along an entire circumference thereof.

Optical transmitting and receiving unit

A medical apparatus according to the present invention is a medical apparatus used in a state in which the medical apparatus is led into a body and fixed. The medical apparatus includes: a fixing section that fixes the medical apparatus on a body wall in the body; an image pickup section that picks up an image of a subject in the body and is provided pivotably around a first axis; and a holding section that includes the fixing section and holds the image pickup section pivotably around a second axis different from the first axis. Therefore, the medical apparatus can change a photographing range and a visual field direction as desired to photograph the subject by performing magnified observation and photographing the subject from different directions without using a zoom function in the state in which the medical apparatus is fixed in a limited space in the body.

A medical apparatus includes: a first image pickup section that is fixed to a body wall and picks up an image of an inside of a body cavity; a recording section that records in advance, in preparation for a case in which a predetermined image change occurs in a first image picked up by the first image pickup section, a predetermined image area in the first image or a coordinate for specifying the predetermined image area; and a display section that displays, when the predetermined image change occurs in the first image, the image area or the coordinate recorded in the recording section to be superimposed on the first image picked up by the first image pickup section.

A base member formed of rubber or the like, which transmits ultrasound waves, includes a storage portion with a small width connected with a storage portion with a great width, wherein internal organ models, formed of animal internal organs or the like, such as an esophagus model, stomach model, and the like, are stored in these storage portions. A jelly-like member, which transmits ultrasound waves, is filled in around the internal organ models. An ultrasonic endoscope or the like can be inserted through an inserting hole so as to obtain ultrasonic images generally the same as with a case of inserting the ultrasonic endoscope or the like into a human body, thereby providing a training device which can be easily used.

Ultrasound phantom

An ultrasound diagnostic device comprises an ultrasound endoscope, an ultrasound diagnostic signal processing device and a monitor and is arranged to obtain an ultrasound diagnostic image by performing transmission/reception of ultrasound signals with respect to a detection subject within a body cavity. The ultrasound endoscope comprises an insertion section inserted into a body cavity, an operating section and a connecting cord. A biopsy needle insertion/retraction section is employed for forward or backward insertion/retraction of a biopsy needle. The subject may be pierced by the needle tip of a biopsy needle that protrudes from a biopsy needle protrusion port at the tip of an insertion section of the ultrasound endoscope which has been inserted. The monitor displays the biopsy needle in the ultrasound diagnostic image. The ultrasound diagnostic signal processing device is constituted as superimposition means that superimposes a boundary of the advance of the piercing direction of the biopsy needle on the display of the ultrasound diagnostic image by the monitor.
