A timing adjustment mechanism in a wrapping connector driving device includes a first pulley fixedly mounted on a first revolving shaft; a second pulley fixedly mounted on a second revolving shaft, the second pulley tightly fitting on the second shaft and being seated on an end surface of the second shaft; an intermediary wrapping connector wound on the first and second pulleys and extending therebetween; an idle pulley lever swingable about the axis of rotation of the second revolving shaft; a first idle pulley disposed near the second pulley on the tension side of the intermediary wrapping connector and rotatably secured to one end of said pulley holding lever; and an idle pulley rotatably secured to the other end of said pulley holding lever near said second pulley on the slack side of said intermediary wrapping connector, wherein all of the central portions of swing of the first and second pulleys, the tension and slack side pulleys and the pulley holding lever lie in the same plane.

Timing adjustment mechanism in wrapping connector driving device

An apparatus for fixedly securing a cylinder head cover to the cylinder head of an engine having a bolt embedded in and projecting outwardly of the engine so as to protrude through a hole in the cover. A cap nut is engaged with the outer end of the bolt for pressing the cover against the cylinder head. A seal packing and a washer are disposed in surrounding relationship to the bolt and confined between the cover and the cap nut. The seal packing includes an annular lip portion which projects axially of the seal packing and passes through a hole in the washer, which annular lip portion is disposed in snug sealing engagement with an end wall of the cap nut in surrounding relationship to the bolt. The washer preferably cooperates with at least two such bolts to prevent rotation of the washer.

Apparatus for fitting a cylinder head cover

A thermostatic valve for intake air temperature compensation for an internal combustion engine includes a housing formed with first, second, and third openings leading, respectively, to the atmosphere, a negative pressure motor, and the intake manifold of the engine. To this housing is secured a temperature sensor including a piston rod to be actuated by a thermally expandable element whose volume increases or decreases with a change in temperature. A valve element to be moved into and out of contact with a valve seat by the piston rod of the temperature sensor is accommodated in a casing. Inside the casing a holed partition member is disposed between the first and third openings and between the second and third openings, and a check valve designed to open in one direction only is located between the partition member and the third opening.
