A lid opening and closing apparatus includes a base having an open portion; a lid having a rotational shaft and supported on the base to be rotatable around the rotating shaft for opening and closing the open portion; and a connecting device with one spring disposed between the base and the lid. The one spring is stretched for urging the lid in an opening direction when the lid is pushed to a pushed-in position beyond a closed position. The one spring is stretched for urging the lid in a closing direction when the lid is closed by a predetermined angle.

A hook device includes a case member for supporting a hook main portion to be rotatable between a store position and a use position; a stopping portion attached to the case member for regulating the hook main portion at the use position with a predetermined opening angle; and an engaging portion provided to the hook main portion through an elastic member for engaging the stopping portion. The elastic member elastically deforms in a direction that the stopping portion engages the engaging portion when a load is applied to the hook main portion in a direction that the hook main portion opens.

The present invention provides a switchgear, which can achieve miniaturization and simplification while securing high operation reliability, and excellent in assembly, operability and inspection, and further, has a compact size. A fluid pressure operating section is provided in a mechanical box arranged on a lower end portion of a support porcelain tube. Insulated operating rods are received in the support porcelain tube, and connecting mechanisms are received in a container. Switching contacts of circuit breaker and disconnecting switches and the fluid pressure operating section are connected via the connecting mechanisms and the insulated operating rods.

A clip is formed of a male and a female members, and can take a temporarily fastened state by inserting an inserting shaft of the male member into an inner side of leg pieces of the female member and a finally fastened state by further inserting the inserting shaft. In the finally fastened state, the leg pieces are widely opened and fixed to the inserting shaft. The clip includes engaging projections, as a correcting device, disposed between the adjacent leg pieces facing each other and allowing the widely opened leg pieces to move inwardly when the male member is moved to the temporally fastened state. Thus, the clip can be easily fastened and removed.

A main pole has a size satisfying pL&lt;(tP-tW cos .theta.)/sin .theta., where pL is a width of an end face of the main pole in a traveling direction, tW is a track width of the end face of the main pole, tP is a track pitch, and .theta. is a skew angle of a trailing edge of the main pole.

An apparatus having a magnetic head assembly including a plurality of arms each arm having a magnetic head fixed to a nose portion thereof and a magnetic disk unit having a plurality of magnetic disks mounted on a rotating shaft. A hard disk drive includes a magnetic disk used as a magnetic recording medium, and a magnetic head for applying magnetic fields to the disk to record data and for detecting magnetic fields from the disk to reproduce data. During recording and reproducing, the head is moved relative to the disk so as to define a track, which is a series of a number of recording bits, on the disk. At this time, the head is brought into contact with the disk, with a head contact width in the track width direction. The disk has a surface texture which presents a single peak amplitude value falling in a range of being equal to or more than 0.5 nm, and equal to or less than the recording bit length, when the surface texture is factorized into frequency compositions by means of Fourier transform. A wave length for providing the peak amplitude value falls in a range of being ten times the recording bit length or more, and equal to or less than the head contact width.

A cup holding device is designed to hold cups therein, and is formed of a case having a storing portion therein; a rotating member rotationally supported by the case and rotating between a storing position for closing the storing portion and a using position; two cup holders axially supported by the rotating member to be rotatable in a direction perpendicular to a rotating direction of the rotating member and having holding portions for the cups; a guided portion provided at at least one of the two cup holders; a guiding device formed in the case for guiding the guided portion; a first urging member for urging the rotating member to rotate from the storing position to the using position; and a holding member for holding the rotating member at the storing position. When the rotating member is rotated from the storing position to the using position by releasing the holding member, the guided portion is guided by the guiding device and the holding portions of the two cup holders overlapped one upon the other in the storing position are separated. In the cup holding device, number of parts for constituting the cup holding device is reduced and the cup holding device can be produced at a low cost.
