The disclosure describes a thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a base film, a colorant layer provided on one side of said base film and containing a heat-transferable dye, and a heat-resistant lubricating layer provided on the other side of said base film and containing a thermoplastic resin having a glass transition point of not less than 50.degree. C., an amino-modified silicone oil and a carboxy-modified silicone oil.

Thermal transfer recording sheet

An image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording is described. The sheet contains a substrate and an image receiving layer formed thereon for receiving a sublimable dye. The image receiving layer contains, as its main component, a product formed by thermosetting a composition of an active hydrogen-containing resin, a modified silicone resin, a silicone oil and a polyfunctional isocyanate compound.

A thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a base film, a heat transferable ink layer formed on one side of the base film and a heat resistant lubricating layer formed on the other side of the base film, wherein the heat resistant lubricating layer is formed by coating on the base film a coating solution containing at least a binder resin and at least two mutually reactive modified silicone oils, and then reacting the mutually reactive modified silicone oils.

A thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a base film, a heat transferable ink layer formed on one side of the base film and a heat resistant lubricating layer formed on the other side of the base film, wherein the heat resistant lubricating layer contains fine elastomer particles.

A thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a base film and an ink layer comprising at least a heat transferable colorant and a binder resin, formed on one side of the base film, wherein the binder resin is a phenoxy resin having repeating structural units of the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is a bivalent group represented by ##STR2## --O--, --S--, --SO-- or --SO.sub.2 --, each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group, R.sup.3 is an alkylene group, and each of benzene rings A and B may have an alkyl group or a halogen atom as a substituent.

An image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording, which comprises a substrate and an image receiving layer formed thereon for receiving a sublimable dye, wherein the image receiving layer comprises, as the main component, a product formed by thermosetting a composition comprising an active hydrogen-containing resin, a silicone resin, a silicone oil and a polyfunctional isocyanate compound.

An image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording, which comprises a substrate and an image receiving layer formed on the substrate, wherein the image receiving layer comprises, as the main component, a polyvinyl acetal resin of the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein k, l, m and n represent percentages of the respective structural units in the formula within ranges of 50&lt;k+l&lt;85, 0.ltoreq.k&lt;85, 0.ltoreq.l&lt;85, 10&lt;m&lt;50 and 0&lt;n&lt;30, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are different from each other and each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group or a vinyl group substituted by an aryl group, provided that when R.sup.1 is an unsubstituted alkyl group, l.noteq.0.
