An inkjet recording apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head which ejects an aqueous ultraviolet-curable ink toward a recording surface of a recording medium; a holding and drying unit including: a suction holding drum which conveys the recording medium while holding a back surface side of the recording medium by suction through suction holes formed in an outer circumferential surface of the drum; and a hot air flow drying device disposed to face the outer circumferential surface of the drum; a transfer conveyance device which is arranged at a downstream side of the holding and drying unit and conveys the recording medium while holding a leading end of the recording medium and curving the back surface side in a convex shape; and a fixing unit including an ultraviolet light irradiation device which is arranged at a downstream side of the transfer conveyance device and irradiates ultraviolet light onto the image.

An image forming apparatus has: a first conveyance device having a plurality of first suction holes; a treatment liquid deposition device; a second conveyance device which is provided downstream of the first conveyance device in terms of a conveyance direction in which the recording medium is conveyed; and an image forming device, wherein the first suction holes of the first conveyance device and the second suction holes of the second conveyance device are formed in such a manner that first suction positions on the recording medium which are suctioned by the first suction holes of the first conveyance device and second suction positions on the recording medium which are suctioned by the second suction holes of the second conveyance device are mutually different.

An application liquid supply apparatus supplying an application liquid to an application roller, includes: a space forming member which is abutted against an outer circumferential surface of the application roller and of which a recess section is formed along a breadthways direction of the application roller in a surface which abuts against the application roller, and a frame-shaped abutting section is provided in a projecting fashion so as to surround a perimeter of the recess section, the abutting section being abutted against the outer circumferential surface of the application roller so as to cover an opening of the recess section with the outer circumferential surface of the application roller in such a manner that an application liquid holding space is created along the breadthways direction on the outer circumferential surface of the application roller; at least one groove which has a length in a direction of rotation of the application roller and is formed in the abutting section on an upstream side in terms of the direction of the rotation of the application roller; an application liquid supply port which is formed in the space forming member and via which the application liquid is supplied to the application liquid holding space; and an application liquid supply device which supplies the application liquid to the application liquid holding space via the application liquid supply port.

Application liquid supply apparatus and inkjet recording apparatus

The transporting device includes a linear guide member disposed at a position facing to inkjet line heads and a drying device, moving a pallet on which a sheet is attracted by magnetic force, and a belt driving device supporting both sides of the pallet by an endless belt and driving the pallet by circumferential movement of the belt. An ink is ejected from the inkjet line heads to the sheet on the pallet transported by the linear guide member, and a recording surface of the sheet is dried by the drying device. Subsequently, the pallet from which the sheet is separated is moved back to an upstream side of the inkjet line heads passing through a lower side of the linear guide member in the vertical direction by circumferential movement of the belt.

The liquid storage apparatus includes: a liquid storage chamber which is constituted by a flexible bag member and stores liquid; an exterior container which has walls constituted by a shape memory member and has a hermetically sealed space in which the liquid storage chamber is disposed, the shape memory member extending and contracting freely at temperatures not greater than a transformation temperature and recovering a memorized shape at temperatures not less than a shape recovery temperature; a forcing member which applies a contraction force to the walls of the exterior container in a direction in which the walls contract; and a temperature adjuster which adjusts a temperature of the shape memory member directly or indirectly so as to control a ratio of a portion of the shape memory member having temperatures not greater than the transformation temperature and deformed to a contracted shape by the contraction force of the forcing member and a ratio of a portion of the shape memory member having temperatures not less than the shape recovery temperature and recovering the memorized shape more extended than the contracted shape, so that a pressure in the liquid storage chamber is changed depending on a volume change of the exterior container due to deformation of the shape memory member.

The inkjet apparatus for double-side recording, comprises: liquid ejection heads which are disposed on either side of a recording medium and face each other across the recording medium, the liquid ejection heads ejecting liquid onto recording surfaces of the recording medium; conveyance devices which hold the recording medium in such a manner that a normal of each of the recording surfaces is substantially horizontal, and convey the recording medium in a horizontal direction in such a manner that the recording surfaces face ejection surfaces of the liquid ejection heads; and end supporting devices which support an upper end and a lower end of the recording medium, as the conveyance devices convey the recording medium in a horizontal direction while holding the recording medium in such a manner that the normal of each of the recording surfaces is substantially horizontal.

The liquid ejection apparatus comprises: a liquid ejection head having an ejection port surface on which ejection ports for ejecting liquid are formed; a wiping device having a blade member which wipes and cleans the ejection port surface; a sliding device which causes the blade member to slide relatively with respect to the ejection port surface; a state identification device which identifies at least one state, of a state of the ejection ports, a state of the ejection port surface, and an operational state of the blade member when sliding over the ejection port surface; and a cleaning capability modification device which modifies a cleaning capability of the wiping device in accordance with a determination result of the state identification device.

Liquid ejection apparatus and image forming apparatus

The image recording apparatus for recording images to a recording medium comprises a recording head arrangement device for arranging the line recording head so that at least the lengthwise direction of the line recording head is in an orthogonal position substantially orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the recording medium, or the lengthwise direction of the line recording head is in a parallel position substantially parallel to the conveyance direction of the recording medium; and a shuttle scan mechanism for causing the line recording head to shuttle-scan in the direction substantially orthogonal to the conveyance direction while the parallel position is maintained, wherein the line recording head records images as a line head when arranged in the orthogonal position, and records images by shuttle scanning when arranged in the parallel position.

The liquid ejection apparatus comprises: a liquid ejection head which has nozzles ejecting liquid in a downward-facing state and pressure chambers connected to the nozzles; a turning device which turns the liquid ejection head to switch the nozzles of the liquid ejection head between the downward-facing state and an upward-facing state; and a sealing device which seals the nozzles when the nozzles of the liquid ejection head are in the upward-facing state.

The liquid droplet ejection head includes: a nozzle which ejects a droplet of a liquid containing microparticles; a pressure chamber which connects with the nozzle; a piezoelectric element which varies a volume of the pressure chamber; a common liquid chamber which stores the liquid that is to be supplied to the pressure chamber; and a supply passage which connects the common liquid chamber to the pressure chamber, wherein the supply passage has a plurality of supply ports through which the common liquid chamber is connected to the supply passage, the supply ports being disposed in different positions in a direction of gravitational force.

A liquid ejection apparatus which ejects liquid toward a prescribed medium is provided. The apparatus includes a liquid ejection head which has an ejection port ejecting liquid, and an energy application element applying energy to the liquid to be ejected from the ejection port; and a liquid receiving device which is opposite to the ejection port and receives the liquid ejected from the ejection port. The liquid received by the liquid receiving device forms a liquid pool between the liquid receiving device and the ejection port and the liquid is agitated by a driving device which applies a drive signal to the energy application element.

The liquid ejection apparatus comprises: a liquid ejection head having a plurality of ejection ports which eject droplets of liquid; a light emitting device which emits a determination light beam intersecting with flight paths of the droplets ejected from at least two of the ejection ports to be examined; a light receiving device which receives the determination light beam having passed through the flight paths of the droplets and outputs a determination signal corresponding to an amount of received light; an ejection port selection device which selects the at least two of the ejection ports to be examined so that the at least two of the ejection ports are disposed on a line parallel to an optical axis of the determination light beam, and that a distance between the at least two of the ejection ports along the optical axis of the determination light beam is smaller than a prescribed specific distance; an ejection control device which performs ejection driving to eject the droplets at substantially same time from the at least two ejection ports selected by the ejection port selection device; and an ejection state judgment device which judges droplet ejection state of the at least two ejection ports according to the determination signal outputted by the light receiving device when the droplets ejected due to the ejection driving performed by the ejection control device pass through the determination light beam.
