Objectives: To improve the cutting sharpness and life while the manufacturing cost is being lowered. Solution mechanism: The whetstone particle layer (), which consists of multiple whetstone particle layer units (), . . . , is configured on the surface () of the whetstone substrate () while the respective whetstone particle layer units () are being mutually linked via the bridge unit (). The non-whetstone particle unit () is configured between whetstone particle layer units () and (). The metal coupling phase (), to which the superwhetstone particles () are fixed, is formed by the first and second metal plate phases () and (), respectively. Electroplated grinding wheel and its production equipment and method

In the electrodeposited abrasive wheel of the abrasive tool according to the present invention, plural mound parts which are upheaved at the central domain of base metal in almost columnar shape, are arranged mostly in the shape of lattice. An abrasive grain layer is formed on a base metal and plural ultra abrasive grains are adhered only to each mound parts by electrodeposited metal phase and referred as the small abrasive-grain-layer parts 24, respectively. Ultra abrasive grains are laid out at corner R part and top of the mound parts at the small abrasive-grain-layer parts Ultra abrasive grains at each small abrasive-grain-layer parts are set as 11-500 pieces, and the rate which ultra abrasive grains occupy to the whole area of abrasive grain layer accounted by plane projection is set as 20%-80% of the range. At the time of grinding, only ultra abrasive grains contact to grinding work piece, then high abutment pressure is maintained, and sharpness and the discharge performance of ground wastes are good.

Abrasive tool with metal binder phase

The abrasive particle layer of resin bonded abrasive tool is constructed by resin binder phase consisting of heat hardening resin, for example, phenol resin etc. and super abrasive particle of diamond (or CBN etc.) distributed in this resin binder phase. The wear resistant filler consisting of SiC, for example, as hard filler and hollow glass and metal coated amorphous carbon is distributed in resin binder phase. The amorphous carbon is made to spherical shape and metal coating layer consisting of Cu, for example, as the metal having high thermal conductivity, is set on a surface of this amorphous carbon.

Resin bonded abrasive tool

A nickel-based alloy which is excellent not only in anti-corrosion properties but also in workability is disclosed. The alloy contains 15 to 35 weight % of chromium; 6 to 24 weight % of molybdenum; wherein the sum of chromium plus molybdenum is no greater than 43 weight %; 1.1 to 8 weight % of tantalum; and balance nickel and unavoidable impurities. The alloy may optionally include no greater than 0.1 weight % of nitrogen; no greater than 0.3 weight % of magnesium, no greater than 3 weight % of manganese, no greater than 0.3 weight % of silicon, no greater than 0.1 weight % of carbon, no greater than 6 weight % of iron, no greater than 0.1 weight % of zirconium, no greater than 0.01 weight % of calcium, no greater than 1 weight % of niobium, no greater than 4 weight % of tungsten, no greater than 4 weight % of copper, no greater than 0.8 weight % of titanium, no greater than 0.8 weight % of aluminum, no greater than 5 weight % of cobalt, no greater than 0.5 weight % of vanadium, no greater than 2 weight % of hafnium, no greater than 3 weight % of rhenium, no greater than 1 weight % of osmium, no greater than 1 weight % of platinum, no greater than 1 weight % of ruthenium, no greater than 1 weight % of palladium, no greater than 0.1 weight % of lanthanum, no greater than 0.1 weight % of cerium, or no greater than 0.1 weight % of yttrium.
