A housing () is provided in a reference block (). An annular plug (), which is to be inserted into a positioning hole () of a work pallet (), is projected upward from the housing (). An output member () is inserted into a guide hole () of the housing () vertically movably. An upper end of the output member () is inserted into the annular plug (), and a plurality of pressing members () are supported on a peripheral wall () of the annular plug () radially movably. Aligning drive mechanism and positioning apparatus having this mechanism

A clamp pallet () as a reference member is fixed to a table () of a machining center. A tapered positioning hole () is opened in a lower surface of a work pallet () as a movable member. An annular central pillar () is projected upward from the clamp pallet (), and an intermediate member () is arranged between the central pillar () and the positioning hole (). The intermediate member () is composed of a shuttle member (), which is diametrically expandable and contractible and supported on the central pillar () vertically movably, and a tapered cylinder (), which is attached to an outer periphery of the shuttle member () and makes a tapering engagement with the positioning hole (). The shuttle member () is urged upward by means of an elastic member ().

Apparatus for clamping a workpiece

A clamp pallet ( ) is fixed to a table ( ) of a machining center. A work pallet ( ) has a positioning hole ( ) and an engaging hole ( ) formed in order from a lower side. A plug portion ( ) projects upwards from the clamp pallet ( ). A shuttle member ( ) is vertically movably fitted onto the plug portion ( ). A coned disc spring ( ) urges the shuttle member ( ) upwards. The shuttle member ( ) has a tapered surface ( ) with which the positioning hole ( ) makes a tapering engagement. A pull rod ( ) is inserted into the plug portion ( ). The pull rod ( ) pushes engaging balls ( ) to the engaging hole ( ), thereby driving the work pallet ( ) downwards.

Clamping apparatus with datum function

A manifold ( ) is provided with a first passage ( ) for supplying pressurized oil and a second passage ( ) for air venting. The manifold ( ) has a support surface ( ) to which a housing ( ) of every hydraulic cylinder ( ) is hermetically fixed through a sealing member ( ). A piston ( ) is inserted into a cylinder bore ( ) of the housing ( ). A hydraulic chamber ( ) is formed between the piston ( ) and the support surface ( ). Cylinder assembly

Two hydraulic chambers ( ),( ) within a slide ( ) communicate with an overload protecting valve ( ) through relief passages ( ),( ). Check valves ( ),( ) and discharge valves ( ),( ) are arranged in series with each other in the respective relief passages ( ),( ). When either of the two hydraulic chambers ( ),( ) has a pressure not less than a set overload pressure, the overload protecting valve ( ) opens to relieve pressurized oil within the hydraulic chamber ( ) to an exterior area via a restricting passage ( ) of one discharge valve ( ) and the overload protecting valve ( ). This switches over the two discharge valves ( ),( ) to a discharging condition substantially at the same time to communicate the hydraulic chambers ( ),( ) with a discharge port (R).

Overload protector for mechanical press

A bolster of a press machine has a T-shaped groove, into which a T-shaped leg of a hydraulic clamp is fitted. The clamp advances and retreats along the T-shaped groove by a pneumatic cylinder. A housing of the clamp has a side surface to which a block is fixed. The block is provided with a hydraulic locking device. When placing the clamp in a waiting condition at a retreated position, a push piston of the locking device is projected downwards from a retracted position. Then the push piston pushes an upper surface of the bolster and the thus resulting reaction force fixes the T-shaped leg to a peripheral wall of the T-shaped groove.

Movable clamping apparatus

A main valve (,) has a first valve seat (,) to which a compression spring (,) urges a first closure member (,). A restricting passage (,) and an actuation chamber (,) for valve closing are arranged within the first closure member (,) in order. A valve-opening holding chamber (,) is formed from an inner space defined by a fitting wall (,) with which the first closure member (,) fits at a final time of its closing movement. The actuation chamber (,) communicates with a second valve seat (,) of a pilot valve (,). A pushing spring (,) brings a second closure member (,) into closing contact with the second valve seat (,). The second valve seat (,), the first valve seat (,), the actuation chamber (,) and the valve-opening holding chamber (,) have respective sectional areas (S), (T), (U) and (V) set to values enlarging one after the other in the mentioned order.

Safety valve assembly

An annular block (3) and an annular housing (23) are arranged in a lower portion of a head unit (1). A plurality of cylinder bores (27) are arranged within the housing (23) in along its outer periphery. The cylinder bores (27) are opened inwardly and acclivously in an inner peripheral surface (26) of the housing (23). At the time of clamping actuation, pistons (28) inserted into the respective cylinder bores (27) are adapted to be advanced inwardly and acclivously. Thereupon, a flange (15) provided in the upper portion of a die (5) is pressed to a bottom surface of a receiving hole (14) provided in the block (3) by clamping members (42) of the pistons (28).

Clamping device for a blow moulding machine

An operated member (17) fixed to a mold plate (14) is adapted to be pushed and pulled in the left and right direction by way of a push/pull hook (31) of a mold replacing carriage (3). When a mold (13) on the carriage (3) is moved onto a mold placing stand (6), the mold plate (14) is brought out to a predetermined position on the stand (6) by way of the hook (31) and after that the leftward and rightward movements of the operated member (17) is prevented by way of the left and right stoppers (41) (42). The first stopper (41) on the left side is retracted below a mold supporting surface (S) at the time of passing of the mold (13). The second stopper (42) on the right side is disposed at such a position as allowing the mold (13) and the mold plate (14) to pass thereby.

Apparatus for placing a mold

A clamping-member (7) is adapted to be straightly actuated from slantly above relative to a clamped surface (2a) of a clamped object (2) placed in front of a housing (4) and is provided with a clamping end surface (22) formed substantially in parallel to the clamped surface (2a). A shuttle member (21) for sliding is interposed between the clamped surface (2a) and the clamping end surface (22) and supported by the clamping end surface (22) so as to be slidingly movable within a certain extent in front and rear directions.

Clamping apparatus

In a hydraulic clamp with a direct operated clamping-member, a piston (13) is so inserted into a cylinder bore (11) formed in an upper portion of a housing (4) as to be slidable in the vertical direction. A peripheral wall (11a) of the cylinder bore (11) is projected downwardly and fixedly secured to a lower portion of the housing (4). An opening (12) is so formed in the lower portion of the peripheral wall (11a) as to face a fixed object (2) such as a metal mould. A clamping actuation oil chamber (15) is formed above the piston (13). A spring accommodation bore (21) is formed upwardly from below in a clamping-member (5) which protrudes downwardly from the piston (13), and an unclamping spring (23) is inserted into the spring accommodation bore (21).

Hydraulic clamp with direct operated clamping-member

In an apparatus and a method for replacing a working-object of a processing machine, there are provided a working-object replacing support (6), a working-object moving passage (12) and a push/pull drive means (18) for the working-objects (5a)(5b). The push/pull drive means (18) is provided with a push/pull drive device (19), a push/pull engaging member pedestal (20), a push/pull transmission member (21), a guide rail (22) and a push/pull engaging member (23). An engaging portion (59) of the engaging member (23) is adapted to be shifted to a position lower than height positions of lower surfaces of engaged portions (25)(26) of the working-objects (5a)(5b) under the changed over condition to the disengagement position (Y) and at least to face upward so as to be engaged with the engaged portions (25)(26) from below under the changed over condition to the engagement position (X).
