An object of the present invention is to reduce the constraints on the mounting of a wire protecting protector to a wire, while achieving a reduction in the weight of the wire protecting protector. A wire protecting protector is made of a foamed resin and is formed in a shape having a wire housing recess capable of housing a wire, and a surface of the wire protecting protector that includes an inner circumferential surface on the wire housing recess side is a surface formed through molding. Preferably, a reinforcing film is formed on at least a part of the surface of the wire protecting protector.

Wire protecting protector and protector-equipped wire

A grommet () is mounted on a burred part () formed on an inner periphery of a through hole () formed on a panel (). The grommet () includes a small-diameter tubular portion (), a large-diameter tubular portion () and a coupling () connecting the small-diameter tubular portion () and the large-diameter tubular portion (). The small-diameter tubular portion () is held in close contact with an outer peripheral surface of the wire (), and the a large-diameter tubular portion () is fit on an outer peripheral side of the burred part () of the panel (). A rib () projects from an inner peripheral surface of the coupling () and covers at least a part of an inner peripheral surface side of the burred part () of the panel ().

Grommet

A wire harness routing structural part reduces the number of components for routing a wire harness within a door. The wire harness routing structural part includes a wire harness incorporating a main path wire and a different path wire, a portion of the wire harness being fixated to a body, and a protector placed on an interior of the door. The protector includes an accommodation part and a different path guide portion, the accommodation part having an extraction opening for extracting the wire harness to the interior of the door and accommodating the wire harness with a space enabling the wire harness to be redirected. The different path guide part guides the different path wire of the wire harness extracted through the extraction opening on a path different from that of the main path wire of the wire harness and following an outer surface of the accommodation part.

Wire harness routing structural part

A grommet is fit externally to a wire harness to be wired in a vehicle and mounted in a through hole of a vehicle-body panel. The grommet has a small-diameter cylindrical portion molded of elastomer and through which the wire harness is tightly inserted. A radial projection in the form of bellows projects radially out from an outer peripheral position of an intermediate longitudinal part of the small-diameter portion. An outer peripheral portion is connected to the outer peripheral end of the radial projection. The outer peripheral portion has a conical tubular shape and is connected at an intermediate longitudinal position to the radial projection. An annular vehicle-body locking recess is provided on the outer peripheral surface of a large-diameter side of the outer peripheral portion. A small-diameter side is thicker than the radial projection portion.

Grommet for wire harness

When a grommet provided with a wire insertion tubular portion is mounted in a through-hole of a vehicle body panel by engaging a vehicle body engagement recess on an outer periphery of the grommet with a peripheral edge of the through-hole, the present invention prevents the wire insertion tubular portion from being caught by the peripheral edge of the through-hole, bending toward the vehicle body engagement recess side, and being wedged in between the peripheral edge of the through-hole and the vehicle body engagement recess, and thus enables the grommet to be securely mounted in the through-hole. A rib is provided between an outer peripheral surface on a central axis line side of a wire insertion tubular portion and a peripheral wall of a central tubular portion in order to reinforce a base on the central axis line side of the wire insertion tubular portion.

Waterproof performance of a grommet is stabilized, the grommet being inserted and engaged with a through-hole having a burring in a body panel. A grommet for a wire harness is externally fitted to the wire harness routed in a vehicle and is mounted to a through-hole from which a burring of a body panel projects. The grommet includes a one-piece molded component of one of rubber and elastomer and an annular body engagement recess in an outer peripheral surface of a tubular portion through which the wire harness is inserted. A size between two side surfaces that define a bottom surface of the body engagement portion is set to be less than a projection size of the burring projecting from a periphery of the through-hole. A projecting front end surface of the burring is wedged in and pressed into contact with one of the side surfaces to serve as a seal point.

A grommet includes two semicircular closing plate sections that protrude from inner peripheries of a larger diameter end of an enlarging diameter tubular section provided with a vehicle body latch recess. Two half ring sections protrude from peripheral edges of central circular cut-outs at opposed ends of the semicircular closing plate sections. Adhesive tape is wound around the half ring sections. The semicircular closing plate sections are thinner than the enlarging diameter tubular section and have bellows-like configurations with projections and depressions. The half ring sections deform in accordance with an outer diameter of the wire harness and a bending direction of the wire harness. Deformation of the semicircular closing plate sections is absorbed by the bellows-like configurations, and the vehicle body latch recess of the enlarging diameter tubular section coupled to an outer periphery of the semicircular closing plate sections.

A grommet includes an inner tube and an outer tube coupled to the inner tube by an annular coupling section. A slant wall section of the outer tube has a curved portion at a position having an outer diameter equal to an inner diameter of a through-hole in a vehicle body panel. The curved portion has a different inclination angle from the slant wall section. An inclination angle of the slant wall section at a larger diameter side with respect to the curved portion is set to be smaller than an inclination angle at a smaller diameter side with respect to the curved portion. The slant wall section is provided on an inner peripheral surface at the smaller diameter side with a bending stress absorbing portion of which an inner surface is recessed annularly to be a smaller thickness.

A grommet includes a small diameter tubular section and a large diameter tubular section contiguous with the small diameter tubular section. The large diameter tubular section is provided on the outer peripheral surface with a plurality of projecting portions that extend from a connecting part between both of the sections to a side wall of vehicle body engagement annular recess in an axial direction of the large diameter tubular section and are separated from one another in a peripheral direction of the large diameter tubular section. Each of the projecting portions includes an increasing diameter directing slant portion that extends from the proximal end point through the contact point to the bending point in parallel to the outer peripheral surface of the large diameter tubular section, and a decreasing diameter directing slant portion that extends from the bending point to the distal end point and inclines in a reversed slant direction.

A grommet includes an inner tube, an outer tube coupled through an annular coupling section to the inner tube and provided with a slant wall section. The outer tube is provided on a larger diameter end of the slant wall section with a larger thickness portion and an annular latch recess between the larger diameter end of the slant wall section and the larger thickness portion. The slant wall section has a plurality of stepped projecting ribs that extend radially from a smaller diameter end of the slant wall section to the larger diameter end. Each of the projecting ribs is provided on a stepped top surface with a first slant surface that is inclined down to the side surface end of the latch recess, and is provided on both side surfaces with a second slant surface and a third slant surface that are inclined down from the top surface across the first slant surface. The first, second, and third slant surfaces form a three- side-cut-away portion.

A clip has elastic locking claws at a fixing section to be inserted in a hole of a member. The fixation section () of the clip () is a hollow box-shaped block and has a rectangular or oval shape with two opposite long sides (L, L) and two opposite short sides (S, S). The locking claws () form a part of the associated long side. One of the locking claws () is provided in a diagonal direction relative to the other in the lateral cross section of the fixing section. The locking claws are connected to each other in a space () at the center of the fixing section by an elastic claw-connecting section (). The claw-connecting section () applies to the locking claws elasticity that causes the locking claws to project outward. Thus, the elastic locking claws have increased locking force.

Clip

In an arranging structure of a wire harness for a door, the wire harness is spanned between a door of a motor vehicle and a vehicle body at an indoor side inside of a weather strip. The wire harness is drawn out from a space between a door inner panel and a door trim at the door side and is provided with an excess length portion that follows opening and closing operations of the door. The excess length portion is drawn out from the space when the door is opened. The excess length portion is drawn along an arcuate outer periphery of a speaker disposed in the space to be contained in the space when the door is closed.

Arranging structure of wire harness for door

The fixing tool () of a wire harness () bundling a plurality of cables has a portion () for holding the wire harness (), and two protrusions () protruding therefrom. The protrusion () includes a stretching portion () formed by stretching. Since the length from the base face () of the holding portion () to the stretching portion () is different in different protrusions (), the timing at which each stretching portion () is inserted into a through hole () varies and thereby insertion load of the protrusion () can be reduced. Consequently, workability of a work for securing the wire harness () to a bracket () can be improved.

Wire harness fixing tool

In an arrangement structure for a door wire harness, the door wire harness is arranged in a door of a vehicle body and is spanned in a space between the door and the vehicle body inside a vehicle room beyond a weather strip. The door wire harness is drawn out of a space between a door inner panel and a door trim at a door side and is fixed on the door at a wire harness drawing-out position. A door side fixing position of the door wire harness is shifted from a vehicle body side fixing position of the door wire harness in a vertical direction. A spanning section of the door wire harness between the door side fixing position and the vehicle body side fixing position is sheathed by a grommet having a flexible bellows-like tube portion and made of rubber or resin. The spanning section of the door wire harness is bent in an S-shaped configuration in a space between opposed surfaces of the door and the vehicle body when the door is closed. The door wire harness is changed from the S-shaped configuration to a straight line configuration when the door is opened.

Arrangement structure of door wire harness

A ground connector comprises facing pieces one ends of which are interconnected via a connecting section, a pair of holding pieces formed by folding back the other ends defining an opening into the space defined by the facing pieces, a displacement section connected between the internal surfaces if the facing pieces and forming a V shape projecting toward the opening, and a piercing piece. A ground wire is inserted into a ground-wire insertion space, the ground connector is attached to an end edge of a vehicle body panel through the opening, the insertion force of the vehicle body panel causes the vehicle body panel to push the displacement section toward the connecting section thus to reverse the projection of the displacement section toward the connecting section and the piercing piece pierces the insulation cover of the ground wire to come into contact with the conductor of the ground wire.
