A versatile silicone resin reflective substrate which exhibits high reflectance of high luminance light from an LED light source over a wide wavelength from short wavelengths of approximately 340-500 nm, which include wavelengths from 380-400 nm near lower limit of the visible region, to longer wavelength in the infra-red region. The silicone resin reflective substrate has a reflective layer which contains a white inorganic filler powder dispersed in a three-dimensional cross linked silicone resin, the inorganic filler powder having a high reflective index than the silicone resin. The reflective layer is formed on a support body as a film, a solid, or a sheet. The silicone resin reflective substrate can be easily formed as a wiring substrate, a packaging case or the like, and can be manufactured at low cost and a high rate of production.

Silicone resin reflective substrate, manufacturing method for same, and base material composition used in reflective substrate

A general-use white color reflecting material, and a process for production thereof are provided. The white color reflecting material, without troublesome surface treatment such as formation of a reflective layer by plating, is capable of reflecting a near-ultraviolet ray of a wavelength region of 380 nm or longer or a near-infrared ray sufficiently without light leakage; does not become yellow even when exposed to near-ultraviolet rays; has excellent lightfastness, heat resistance, and weatherability; has high mechanical strength and chemical stability; is capable of maintaining a high degree of whiteness; and is easily moldable at a low cost. Further a white color reflecting material used as an ink composition for producing the white color reflecting material in a film shape is also provided. The white color reflecting material comprises; a silicone resin or silicone rubber formed from titanium oxide-containing silicone composition, in which anatase-type or rutile-type titanium oxide particles are dispersed.

White color reflecting material and process for production thereof

This invention relates to a method of producing a molded transparent covering member. The steps of the method comprise providing a silicon rubber material and a fluorescent substance together to form a material to be molded in a space between an inner surface of an upper mold and an outer surface of a lower mold; sand-blasting at least one of the inner surface of said upper mold and the outer surface of the lower mold; and injecting the material into the space formed between upper mold and the lower mold.

Method of molding a transparent coating member for light-emitting diodes

An LED device is provided that has an excellent color rendering property and no toxicity and does not increase production costs more than necessary. A covering member is also provided used for such a device. The LED device comprises a light-emitting element for emitting light in a blue to green region and a fluorescent substance containing a red phosphor for converting the wavelength of the light emitted from the light-emitting element to another wavelength. The red phosphor is CaS activated by Eu or a phosphor expressed by the general formula AEu Ln B O , wherein A is an element selected from the group consisting of Li, K, Na and Ag; Ln is an element selected from the group consisting of Y, La and Gd; and B is W or Mo; and x is number equal to or larger than 0, but smaller than 1.

Light-emitting diode device

This invention relates to a transparent coating member mountable on a light-emitting diode including a fluorescent substance and a light diffusion substance including calcium carbonate in order to reduce color variation at various locations of a transparent coating member and also reduce manufacturing costs of the transparent coating member without significantly lower the level of chromaticity. Furthermore, this invention relates to a transparent coating member mountable on a light-emitting diode (LED) including a fluorescent substance and a light storing pigment. This structure allows an exhibition of afterglow of the transparent coating member after turning off the light in a room so that locating the position of the transparent coating member is made easier thereafter. The light diffusion substance and the light storing pigment can be added to the transparent coating member to acquire both advantages derived from respective substances.
