The present invention is directed to a method for producing an oxymethylene copolymer by subjecting trioxane and 1,3-dioxolane to copolymerization using boron trifluoride or a coordination compound thereof as a catalyst, wherein the copolymerization is conducted in the presence of a steric-hindrance phenol in an amount of 0.006 to 2.0% by weight, based on the weight of the trioxane, using 0.01 to 0.07 mmol of boron trifluoride or a coordination compound thereof as a catalyst, relative to 1 mol of the trioxane, and wherein, at a point in time when the polymerization yield becomes 92% or more, the formed oxymethylene copolymer and a polymerization terminator are contacted to terminate the polymerization.

This cantilevered-shaft electric motor has no bearing on the load side, and since there also is no end bracket, which is present in ordinary electric motors, the internal stator and rotor are in an unprotected state in a bare state. The present invention comprises a stator, and a rotor which is disposed oppositely to the stator with a gap interposed. The stator comprises a stator core, and a distributed stator winding mounted to the stator core. The stator core comprises a ring-like yoke core, and a plurality of teeth cores which protrude from the yoke core in the radial direction. The rotor comprises a rotor core, and a plurality of permanent magnets embedded in the rotor core. A pair of non-magnetic portions is created inside the rotor core and on both sides of the circumferential width of a permanent magnet for one magnetic pole. In the rotor core located on the stator side of the pair of non-magnetic portions, a pair of magnetic paths is created as the result of the creation of the pair of non-magnetic portions. Furthermore, a groove or hole is created on the outer circumferential portion of the rotor core and between the adjacent magnetic poles.

Alternatively, a blood storage capacity of the lower limb region may be estimated from a gradient of bioelectric impedance represented by a variation thereof per unit time to determine whether or not the subject is apt to develop deep-vein thrombosis in the lower limb region.

An electronic weighing apparatus of induction type comprises a weighing member adapted to be moved according to the weight of a load to be measured, a variable inductance element consisting of a coil and a magnetic core which is movable relatively to the coil through the coil, a connecting member for connecting the weighing member with one of the coil and the magnetic core of the inductance element so that the one can be moved with respect to the other according to the movement of the weighing member and thus the inductance of the inductance element can be changed proportionally to the movement of the weighing member, a sensor oscillator including the variable inductance element as one of its oscillating parameters for generating a series of pulses having a characteristic representative of the inductance of the variable inductance element, a converting circuit for converting the characteristic of the output pulses from the sensor oscillator into a weight signal indicative of the weight of the load, and a display for receiving the weight signal from the converting circuit and providing an indication of the weight of the load.

The digital indication and processing circuit comprises preferably an oscillator including capacitance as a component of an oscillating time constant and a converter for converting the change in oscillating frequencies of the oscillator to a digital amount representative of the weight.
