A quick connector assembly includes a male member, a female member, and a retainer. The retainer is interposed between a ring-shaped projection of the male member and a first engagement portion of the female member to connect the male member and female member. When a worker holds operation end portions of the retainer with his or her fingers, the retainer is reduced diametrically so that a second engagement portion of the retainer disengages from the first engagement portion of the female member. Accordingly, the male member and retainer can be pulled off from the female member easily. The retainer holds the male member by fitting its aperture windows with the ring-shaped projection of the male member. Consequently, the retainer hardly falls down from the male member after it is removed from the female member. The male member can be removed sidewise through a substantially-letter-C-shaped opening of the retainer while diametrically enlarging a cross-sectionally substantially-letter-C-shaped body of the retainer. Thus, the retainer is deformed so less that it can be reused repeatedly a number of times.

A fuel transporting hose used in a fuel pipe system is disclosed which includes: an inner layer made of a fluorine-contained resin; an intermediate layer made of a rubber material and formed on an outer surface of the inner layer; a fiber reinforcing layer formed on an outer surface of the intermediate layer; and an outer layer made of a rubber material and formed on an outer surface of the intermediate layer. The intermediate layer has a thickness which is 3 to 30 times as that of the inner layer, and the outer layer has a thickness which is 3 to 35 times as that of the inner layer.

Fuel transporting hose having inner layer made of fluorine-contained

A fuel transporting hose used in a fuel pipe system is disclosed which includes an inner layer made of a fluorine-contained resin, and an outer layer made of a rubber material and formed on an outer surface of the inner layer. The outer layer has a thickness which is 5 to 30 times as that of the inner layer.

A fuel transporting hose used in a fuel pipe system is disclosed. The hose includes: an inner layer made of a fluorine-contained resin; an intermediate layer made of a synthetic resin other than the fluorine-contained resin and formed on the inner layer; and an outer layer made of a rubber material and formed on the intermediate layer. The inner layer may have electrical conductivity. Also disclosed is a resin tube in a fuel pipe system, which has at least an inner layer made of a fluorine-contained resin, and an outer layer made of a polyamide or polyester resin. In producing the resin tube, an outer surface of the inner layer which contacts the outer layer is subjected to a surface treatment for improving the adhesive strength between the inner and outer layers, and the inner and outer layers formed in lamination are subjected to a heat treatment at a temperature in a range of 150.degree. C. to a melting point of the outer layer.

Fuel transporting hose having resin tube of fluorine-contained resin

A hose with a protector comprises: a tubular-shaped hose body 10; a tubular-shaped protector 20 which is coaxially provided in the state in which it covers the outer peripheral surface of the hose body 10; a tubular-shaped engager 30 which bonds the hose body 10 and the protector 20 integrally at both edge portions thereof and which forms an inserting opening into which a nipple is inserted and bonded. By producing the hose body out of resin and producing the protector out of rubber, the present hose with a protector can obtain heat resistance and anti flame resistance which are suitable for a filler hose and which are necessary at the time of vehicle fire and also the present hose with a protector is good in sealing property with the mating pipe and good in connecting function.

A hose with a protector includes a tubular-shaped hose body; a tubular-shaped protector which is coaxially provided to cover the outer peripheral surface of the hose body; a tubular-shaped engager which bonds the hose body and the protector integrally at both edge portions thereof and which forms an inserting opening into which a nipple is inserted and bonded. By producing the hose body out of resin and producing the protector out of rubber, the present hose with a protector can obtain heat resistance and anti-flame resistance which are suitable for a filler hose and which are necessary at the time of vehicle fire and also the present hose with a protector is good in sealing property with the mating pipe and good in connecting function.

A method for producing a multi-layered hose by electrostatically applying a thin resin layer on the inner surface of a tubular rubber outer layer. The resin can be applied by spraying resin powder from a bar nozzle inserted into an opening of the tubular outer layer, and the applied resin can be heated by an induction or dielectric heating source placed inside the tubular outer layer. The resin can be applied only to the hose body portion and not to edge portions which are to be attached to mating pipes, or a thinner layer of resin can be applied on the edge portions than on the body portion. An intermediate layer containing dielectric material or at least one of electrically conductive and magnetic material can be formed between the tubular outer layer and resin inner layer.

Method of producing an electrostatically painted multi-layered hose

A method of producing a bent resin tube by heating a certain portion of a straight resin tube to be bent partially by a partial bending means, and bending the heated certain portion partially by a partial bending die, thereby rendering a desired bend shape to the tube. In this method, a large die for constraining the shape of the whose tube or a large oven is not required. Therefore, space for equipment can be reduced, and production efficiency is enhanced because the time required for bending operations is decreased remarkably. The heating may be done by high frequency induction heating, high frequency dielectric heating, or other conventional heating.

Method of producing a bent resin tube

A quick connector comprises a tubular-shaped female member, a tubular-shaped male member, and an engager member which comprises a 'C' ring-shaped and tapered stopper whose diameter can be increased in said annular-shaped concave, and which has the smaller diameter ends having the small diameter at the inner side of said female member and having the large diameter at the side of said opened flange to engage said engager projection, and which has the larger diameter ends having the diameter larger than that of said opened flange of said female member to face the inside end surface of said opened flange; a regulator which is installed in the axial direction to said stopper, and which is projected in the centrifugal directions than do the larger diameter ends of said stopper, and which is brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of said annular-shaped concave to regulate the displacement in the radial direction of said stopper; and a linkage for connecting said stopper and said regulator. In the quick connector, the smooth insertion of the male member and the satisfactory diameter enlargement of the stopper can be obtained.

Quick connector

A quick connector includes a male member, a female member and an engager claw member. The male member includes a ring-shaped engager. The female member includes a receiver hole having an opening into which the male member is inserted, a ring-shaped stopper surface disposed oppositely to the opening, and a regulatory inner peripheral surface extending from the periphery of the stopper surface in an axial direction. The engager claw member disposed in the receiver hole of the female member, and it includes a ring-shaped base disposed movably in an axial direction, arms extending from the base to the opening in an axial direction and adapted for being elastically deformable in a radial direction, and a claw disposed so as to extend from each of the arms and adapted for engaging with the engager of the male member. In operation, the claws of the engager claw member are brought into contact with the stopper surface and engaged with the regulatory inner peripheral surface while they are engaged with the engager of the male member. Consequently, the male member in inhibited from displacing not only in an axial direction by the stopper surface, but also in a centrifugal direction by the regulatory inner peripheral surface. Thus, the engaging force associated with the claws is exerted securely, and accordingly the reliability of the quick connector in piping can be improved.
