The corneal shape measurement unit is configured to obtain curvature radius distribution on a cornea by detecting returning light of a measurement pattern projected onto a cornea of the subject's eye. The eyeball model generator is configured to generate an eyeball model using the curvature radius distribution on the cornea. The site specifying unit is configured to specify a traveling direction of the measurement light by performing ray tracing on the measurement light incident on each of a plurality of incident positions on the cornea based on a scan angle and the eyeball model, and to specify a position corresponding to an intraocular site of the subject's eye in the traveling direction based on the data acquired using the measurement light.

The first region specifying unit is configured to specify one or more first atrophy regions in the fundus by analyzing the first reference data. The second region specifying unit is configured to specify one or more second atrophy regions by analyzing second fundus data based on the one or more first atrophy regions, the second fundus data being acquired after the acquisition timing of the first reference data among the plurality of fundus data.

A fundus analysis apparatus includes a storage, an area setting unit, and a morphological information generating unit. The storage is configured to store OCT information acquired by applying optical coherence tomography to the fundus of an eye. The area setting unit is configured to set a front area corresponding to a front surface of the lamina cribrosa and a rear area corresponding to a rear surface of the lamina cribrosa in the OCT information. The morphological information generating unit is configured to generate morphological information indicating the morphology of the lamina cribrosa based on at least the front area and the rear area.

In a fundus observation apparatus, an optical system detects interference light generated by superposing signal light having traveled by way of an eye fundus and reference light having traveled by way of a reference optical path. An image forming part forms a cross sectional image based on detection results of the interference light. A specifying part analyzes the cross sectional image to specify an abnormal region located in the vicinity of central fovea of the eye fundus. The association information generating part calculates the distance between the central fovea and the abnormal region and generates association information in which the direction of the abnormal region relative to the central fovea and the distance are associated with each other. The evaluation information generating part generates evaluation information for evaluating the state of the eye fundus based on the association information.

Optical image measurement device and program for controlling the same

A device is an OCT device that splits a low-coherence light into a signal light and a reference light, detects an interference light obtained by superimposing the signal light propagated through an eye and the reference light propagated through a reference mirror, and forms an image of an fundus oculi. The device has a scan unit that scans the eye with the signal light. When a cross-section position is designated in an fundus oculi image, the device repetitively scans with the signal light along each cross-section position to repeatedly forms tomographic images at each cross-section position, thereby displaying a tomographic motion image at each cross-section position on a display. An operator can observe the tomographic motion image to designate the range and timing for measurement of a tomographic still image.

Optical image measurement device

A fundus oculi observation devicecan form a near-infrared motion image and a color image (still image) of a fundus oculi Ef. The devicespecifies an image region within the near-infrared motion image corresponding to a region of interest within the color image while the near-infrared motion image is being formed. The devicescans with a signal light LS based on the specified image region, thereby forming a tomographic image along the scanning line. According to the device, it is possible to determine a region of interest within a still image having a comparatively high image quality, specify the image region within the motion image corresponding to this region of interest, set a measurement site for the tomographic image.

A fundus oculi observation device acts as an optical image measurement device capable of measuring an OCT image such as a tomographic image of a fundus oculi, or the like, and is configured so as to calculate the signal level of the formed OCT image, determine whether the signal level exceeds a threshold value, and change the position of a reference mirror so that the signal level is determined to exceed the threshold value.

A fundus observation device comprises: an image forming part comprising a first image forming part and a second image forming part, the first image forming part forming a 2-dimensional surface image of fundus oculi of an eye through optical processing, the second image forming part optically scanning a surface region of the fundus oculi corresponding to at least a part of the 2-dimensional surface image to form a tomographic image of the fundus oculi; a controller configured to control the image forming part; and a storage configured to store control information including control instructions to be sent from the controller to the image forming part, when one of the 2-dimensional surface image and the tomographic image is formed. The controller, at the time of formation of new one of the 2-dimensional surface image and the tomographic image of the fundus oculi, instructs the image forming part to form the new one of the 2-dimensional surface image and the tomographic image based on the control information stored in the storage.
