A stator for a dynamoelectric machine includes an annular stator core composed of a developed core formed by stacking a number of steel sheets, each steel sheet including a plurality of unit cores each of which includes a unit yoke and a magnetic pole tooth and which are sequentially connected together by connecting portions integral with the respective unit yokes, and a stator coil wound on the magnetic pole teeth. Each unit yoke has a circumferential end overlapping, in a direction of stacking of the steel sheets, a circumferential end of the unit yoke adjacent to said each unit yoke.

Stator for dynamoelectric machine

In a double-layer concentric-wound armature winding for a dynamoelectric machine, the number of slots per phase per pole is set at q. The armature winding comprising a winding which corresponds to one pole and which includes a plurality of coils having different coil pitches from one another. The coils include at least one coil having the number of turns different from those of the other coils. The number q is set at or above 3. The number of coils in one winding is set at (q-n) where n=1, 2, . . . and q-2. The coils are distributed in the slots so that a double-layer, concentric-wound winding resulting in a sinusoidal distribution of magnetomotive force is formed. In another arrangement, the number of pole windings per phase is half of the number of poles in a double-layer concentric-wound winding or a lap winding. The number of coils in one of the pole windings is set at (2x(q-n)).

In a method of inserting motor coils and slot insulators, a coil inserting jig is moved between a layer insulator inserter and a wedge inserter, and a core holder is moved between a predetermined location and the wedge inserter, so that a stator core is fitted onto the coil inserting jig when the coil inserting jig is located at the wedge inserter. The coil inserting jig receives layer insulators from the layer insulator inserter. The layer insulators are inserted into slots of the core with lower coils. Wedges are inserted into the core slots with upper coils when the coil inserting jig is located at the wedge inserter.

Method of and apparatus for inserting coins and slot insulators into

A slot insulator guide used with a coil inserting apparatus for guiding a layer insulator and a wedge having different sizes from each other toward each slot of a stator core of a dynamoelectric machine. Both side faces of the guide include a first guide face for guiding a layer insulator and a second guide face for guiding the wedge. The first guide face is parallel to its axis while the second guide face is inclined. The first guide face has in its distal end an inclined face. Each guide face has a first engaging portion with which the end of a layer insulator is engaged. Each guide face further has in its distal end a second engaging portion with which the ends of the wedge are engaged. Each engaging portion extends toward the slot. A coil inserting apparatus with which the guides are used has a first and a second stepped portions. The pusher is abutted against the layer insulator and the wedge so that the layer insulator and the wedge are pushed. The first and second stepped portions are formed to be spaced from each other in a direction in which the layer insulator and the wedge are inserted in the slot.

Slot insulator guide in assembly of dynamoelectric machine and coil

In a three-phase four-pole armature winding of the double-layer lap type, three first pole windings of respective phases are dispersively arranged in first divided regions obtained by dividing all the slot region into three equal regions and three second pole windings of the respective phases following the respective first pole windings are dispersively arranged in second divided regions obtained by dividing all the slot region into three equally divided regions. Third and fourth pole windings are dispersively arranged in respective slot regions in the same manner. The first and second divided regions are circumferentially shifted from each other by an electrical angle of 180 degrees. Insertion of all the coils belonging to each of the first to fourth pole windings in all the phases is completed by one coil inserting operation of an automatic coil inserter. Accordingly, the windings of all the poles in all the phases can be completed by the coil inserting operation at the number of times same as the number of windings forming one phase. The coil impedance can be equalized in each of the phases since the pole windings take nearly the same radial position among the phase with respect to the iron core.

Three-phase armature winding

In a three-phase armature winding of the concentrically wound double-layer type, coil ends of three-phase first pole windings are distributed on an outermost circumference and coil ends of second and other pole windings are distributed on inner circumferences in turn in a first arrangement. In a second arrangement, coil sides of three-phase first pole windings and second pole windings paired with the first pole windings in a three-phase six-pole arrangement are laid in adjacent slots in sequence. This coil arrangement is applied to paired fifth and fourth pole windings.
