A thermal printer includes a thermal head, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The thermal head includes heat generation elements configured to generate heat to perform printing. The temperature sensor is disposed in the thermal printer. The controller is configured to alternately turns on and off the heat generation elements during an idle state of the thermal printer for a number of cycles with a predetermined on-time period in each cycle. The controller determines the number of cycles and the predetermined on-time period based on temperature data obtained by the temperature sensor, such that heat energy generated by the heat generation elements during each of the cycles in the idle state is lower than heat energy generated by the heat generation elements during printing of one line.

A driving device for a stepping motor includes a motor driving circuit configured to generate a current waveform representing an electrical angle in synchronization with a mechanical angle of the stepping motor, and excite the stepping motor using the current waveform; a memory configured to store a value of the electrical angle; and a controller configured to: when a power supply to the stepping motor and the motor driving circuit is stopped, store a first value of the electrical angle held by the motor driving circuit in the memory; and when the power supply is resumed, replace a value of the electrical angle of the motor driving circuit with the first value while suppressing a rotational operation of the stepping motor.

Touch panel display apparatus and detection method for use in the same

A flat display includes an outer case having a front face frame having a opened rear face and a rear cover covering the opened rear face. The outer case is configured by an electrically conductive chassis board having a front face and a back face; a display panel attached to the front face of the electrically conductive chassis. The back face includes a panel driving unit controlling image formation on the display panel on a basis of an video signal, a source unit having an audio circuit controlling an audio signal and a tuner circuit extracting the audio signal and the video signal, and a power supply unit supplying electric power to the panel driving unit and the source unit. Low pass filters at the output stage of a D-class amplifier, in which a high channel separation between adjacent signal amplifying channels, a small size, implementation at a high density can be attained. Induced electromotive forces by a leakage magnetic flux from the adjacent channels are set off by a plurality of pairs of inductors in one low pass filter. The low pass filter of each channel is formed by the same construction and the same circuit. The inductors are arranged in a manner that center axes of coils of the two corresponding pairs of inductors in the adjacent channels are located at vertexes of a rectangular parallelogram, and combinations of the winding directions of the coils of the corresponding inductors of the adjacent channels are set to the same direction and the opposite directions every other inductor.

Low pass filter for output of D-class amplifier

A D-class power amplifier of two channels in which an increase in power voltage due to a regenerative current is prevented and a high efficiency in utilization of electric power is attained. Two D-class power amplifying circuits included in the D-class power amplifier of the two channels are constructed by opposite phases. A preprocess is performed only to low frequency components of input signals so that they have a substantially equal amplitude in the two channels, and the resultant low frequency components are supplied to the D-class power amplifying circuits, respectively. The other ends of loads connected to the D-class power amplifying circuits are connected to a neutral potential point of the power voltage.
