A hinge device of a plane monitor is capable of manually rotating a plane display in lateral horizontal direction, manually inclining (tilting, laying) in longitudinal direction, or manually adjusting the height in vertical direction, being simple in structure and easy in manual operation. The structure includes a mechanism for supporting a plane display in lower part, and rotating it manually in lateral horizontal direction, in which the rotary mechanism in the lateral horizontal direction includes horizontal rotary position holding means, and transmitting means for transmitting rotary motion in lateral horizontal direction of the plane display to the horizontal rotary position holding means.

Hinge device of plane display

An original cover closer of which the energy absorption capability can be freely adjusted by a damper is described. The development period for the original cover closer is therefore shortened. The original cover closer comprises: an attachment member to be mounted on the main body of a device; a support member pivotally connected to the attachment member and operable to support an original cover; a first and a second slider slidably installed in the support member; a compression coil spring interposed between the first and second sliders and operable to urge the original cover to open; and a fluid damper located in the compression coil spring. Particularly, the fluid damper comprises: a cylinder having a base end fixed to the first slider; a piston slidably installed in the cylinder; an abutment stem integrally provided on the piston and located in order that a tip portion of the abutment stem can come in contact with the second slider; a first fluid chamber formed on one side of the piston; a second fluid chamber formed on the other side of the piston; a viscous fluid with which the first fluid second fluid chambers are filled; a fluid conduit formed through the piston in order that the viscous fluid can move through the fluid conduit from the first fluid chamber to the second fluid chamber and vice versa; and a flow rate regulating needle valve formed in the fluid conduit and operable to adjust the speed of the viscous fluid passing through the fluid conduit when the piston slides in the cylinder.

Original cover closer

An original cover closer is described in which a compression coil spring can stably and surely work, an original cover can expeditiously and smoothly be operated, and the compression amount of the compression coil spring can be set and changed in an extremely easy manner. The cover closer comprises: a mounting member mounted to the main body of a copying machine; a supporting member pivotally attached to the mounting member and operable to support the original cover; a first slider and a second slider which are slidably installed in the supporting member; and a compression coil spring inserted between these sliders and operable to urge the original cover in the direction to open, wherein at least one of the sliders is formed integrally with a spring cover which covers the compression coil spring even when the original cover is opened.

The display monitor of a rear projection system is pivotally connected to the projector body and provided with a resilient member that permits opening of the monitor in a vertical direction by the application of a small force during maintenance of the system.

Opening device for display monitor of projector system

A swivel device for a monitor capable of adjusting the swivel operating force even after assembling. The device includes a base plate, an output gear disposed rotatably on the base plate and rotated and driven by an electric motor, a clutch plate rotated and driven while frictionally contacting with the output gear by way of a slip portion, a monitor mounting plate mounted and fixed on the clutch plate, and a part for adjusting the contact frictional force of the clutch plate on the output gear.
