A skate for a flexible cable guide comprises a series of interconnected skate units, each comprising a pair of parallel rails with rollers, the rails being connected by transverse connecting bars. A connecting block is provided with two holes. A connecting bar of one of skate units extends through one of the two holes. The other hole has a longitudinal entry slot for receiving a narrowed portion of a bar of the other skate unit. The narrowed portion is formed by providing one or more flat portions on the bar, disposed at a 45&#xb0; angle with respect to the longitudinal direction of the skate, in order to require manipulation of the connecting block for engagement and disengagement of the bar having a narrowed portion from the connecting block.

A skate for interposition between opposed parts of a folded protective cable guide is composed of skate units which are articulably connected to one another through connecting blocks, using pins or stepped bolts.

Cable protection guide having improved skate

A skate disposed between facing portions of a folded, flexible, cable guide includes a first set of rollers which contact only one of the two facing portions, and a second set of rollers which contact only the other of the two facing portions. A turning member mounted at an end of the skate is in rolling contact with the bent portion of the guide.

A guide and support chain 10 is constituted such that link parts 12 having a pair of left and right side plates 14, 14 are rotatably connected. A straight-line attitude maintaining stopper and a straight-line attitude maintaining stopper surface comprise first stage straight-line attitude maintaining stoppers 21a, 23a and first straight-line attitude maintaining stopper surfaces 21b, 23b, and a second stage straight-line attitude maintaining stopper 22a and straight-line attitude maintaining stopper surfaces 22b. The stoppers 21a, 23a and the stopper surfaces 21b, 23b are provided at a position small in radius, and the stopper 22a and the stopper surface 22b are provided at a position large in radius. When the stoppers 21a, 23a and the stopper surfaces 21b, 23b start to contact with each other, the stopper 22a is parted from the stopper surface 22b with a predetermined clearance A.

Guide and support chain for flexible tubes

A cable drag chain wherein a plurality of link members each comprising a pair of right and left side plates and connecting plates connecting upper and lower edges, respectively, of the side plates are connected together contiguously in a bendable manner, the connecting plates are to be connected strongly to the side plates. A cable drag chain 10 comprises a plurality of resinous link members 12 connected together contiguously in a bendable manner. Each link member 12 has a pair of right and left side plates 14, 16 and connecting plates 18, 20 which connect transversely upper and lower edges, respectively, of the side plates. A pair of connecting arms 22, 22 are projected at both ends of the connecting plate 18. A connecting arm receptacle portion 24 for receiving the connecting arms 22, 22 therein is formed in the upper edge of each side plate 14 (16) centrally in the longitudinal direction of the cable drag chain. Engaging pins 26 are projected from abutment surfaces of the connecting arms 22, 22, while engaging pin receptacle holes 28 are formed in abutment surfaces of the connecting arm receptacle portion 24. The engaging pin receptacle hole 28 is open sideways of the side plate 14 (16), but is closed at the upper edge of the side plate 14 (16), so that the connecting plate 18 is difficult to be disconnected above the side plates 14 and 16.
