An image forming apparatus that executes a job, based on a setting value, and is operative to store a history of the job, as a job history includes: a storage that stores the setting value of the executed job, as setting history information; a displayer that displays a selection screen for selecting the setting history information stored in the storage; and a controller that reads the setting value included in the selected history information. The controller determines whether to display setting history information of a newly executed job, based on a comparison result between the setting value pertaining to the newly executed job and the setting value included in the setting history information.

An image forming device includes a document information acquirer that acquires information related to a document, a sheet information acquirer that acquires information related to a print sheet, a storage that stores, in advance, information related to the document and the print sheet, and prediction condition information including proposal processing associated with the document and the print sheet, a processing predictor that acquires, based on the information related to the document and the information related to the print sheet acquired by using the prediction condition information, proposal processing associated with the placed document and the print sheet, and a proposal processing generator that generates information related to the proposal processing to be presented to a user based on the acquired proposal processing. The subject invention provides an image forming device including a main control section and a signal detection circuit for detecting presence or absence of an external signal supplied to the main control section, and further provided with an interface section for controlling external communication; a main power supply circuit; a power supply control circuit. The signal detection circuit includes a low power mode prohibition circuit for outputting a low power mode prohibition signal for voiding the request for low power consumption with respect to the power supply control circuit or the main power supply circuit while the external signal is supplied to the signal detection circuit. A job processing apparatus includes a job executing section, an operating section, an interface section, and a control section. The control section shifts the job processing apparatus from a normal operation mode to a power-saving operation mode after a lapse of standby time T during which no command input to the job executing section is detected. The control section utilizes standby time T, instead of the standby time T, if a last job executed by the job executing section is according to job data input through the interface section.
