Rotation angle detection apparatus includes a magnet provided in a main gear and a magnetism detector positioned to face to the magnet. Magnet rotates integrally with main gear and magnetism detector detects changes in magnetic field of magnet so a rotation angle of main gear is detected. Main gear includes bottomed recessed part and plurality of mounting pins arranged in recessed part. Magnet is inserted in recessed part wherein a part of magnet protrudes from an upper end of the recessed part. Magnet inserted in recessed part is pressed against main gear by an elastically deformable retaining plate made of non-magnetic material. An outer portion of retaining plate includes plurality of mounting holes. Magnet inserted in recessed part is pressed against main gear by elastically deformed retaining plate and mounting pins inserted in mounting holes are thermally caulked wherein magnet is secured to the main gear.

Rotation angle detection apparatus

A rotational angle detection device may include a sensor wiring member and a motor wiring member. Each of the sensor wiring member and the motor wiring member includes a terminal body section and a connector section that are formed separately from each other and are electrically connected to each other via a connection structure.

Rotational angle detection devices

A rotational angle sensor and a method for manufacturing the same, and a throttle control device with a rotational angle sensor, which may lower the cost, are provided. The rotational angle sensor includes each sensor IC for detecting a rotational angle of a rotor based on a magnetic field generated between a pair of magnets respectively disposed across the rotational axis of the rotor; each main terminal connected with each connection terminal of each sensor IC; and a holder member for holding each sensor IC and connection portions of each main terminal on each sensor side. A sensor assembly is constructed to form the sensor ICs the main terminals and the holder member into an assembly. A potting material is potted into the holder member.

Rotational angle sensor and method manufacturing same, and throttle control device with rotational angle sensor

Angle sensor device has magnetic force detectors detecting alternation of magnetic force caused by rotation of a throttle gear. The magnetic force detectors are buried in a molded body of the angle sensor device constructed of foamed resin. The magnetic force detectors each has a sensing unit detecting alteration of magnetic force and a computing unit computing based on signals from the sensing unit and outputting signals depending on the alteration of magnetic force and is formed in L-shape. Two of the magnetic force detectors are placed opposite each other such that one of the sensing units is disposed on the other sensing unit. The molded body has a cavity surrounded by the magnetic force detectors.

The present invention includes a rotational angle sensor having a magnetic detection device. The magnetic detection device includes a sensing section that can detect a change of a magnetic field produced by at least two magnets attached to a rotary member. A housing member is molded integrally with the magnetic detection device and a support member. The support member may serves as a protective member for protecting at least the sensing section of the magnetic detection device or may serve as a positioning member configured to enable at least the sensing section to be positioned relative to the positioning member.

Rotational angle sensors and throttle devices

A rotational angle detecting device has a pair of permanent magnets and an angle sensor. Electrical connecting terminals are connected to the angle sensor and further connected to conductors. The conductors have seconds ends opposite to the first ends and serving as connector terminals of the connector. In one embodiment, the rotational angle detecting device includes a first resin-molded portion and a second resin-molded portion. The first resin-molded portion includes at least the electrical connecting terminals, a part of the angle sensor and the first ends of the conductors embedded within a first resin. The second resin-molded portion includes portions of the conductors embedded within a second resin. In another embodiment, capacitors are connected to the connector conductors. The angle sensor has a magnetic detecting element positioned substantially perpendicularly to the rotational axis of the rotary section. The connector conductors have parallel portions extending substantially parallel to the rotational axis. A portion of the angle sensor assembly extending from the angle sensor to the parallel portions of the connector conductors has a substantially L-shaped configuration. The capacitor(s) is disposed on the same side as the magnetic detecting element with respect to the L-shaped portion.

Throttle body, method of adjusting opening of opener, and method of manufacturing throttle body

An electrically controlled throttle apparatus comprises a throttle valve for controlling an amount of intake air to be supplied to an internal combustion engine; a throttle body which houses the throttle valve; a motor for driving the throttle valve; and a throttle sensor for detecting an opening degree of the throttle valve. The throttle sensor is a magnetic resistance element for detecting a change in direction of a magnetic field. The direction of the measured magnetic field of the throttle sensor when the throttle valve is in an opening learning reference position used as a criterion by the throttle sensor is the same as a direction of a leakage magnetic field of from the motor.

Electrically controlled throttle apparatus

A sensor for a throttle control device. The throttle control device includes a throttle body. A throttle valve is disposed within an intake air channel defined within the throttle body. A speed or gear reduction mechanism is coupled between a motor and the throttle valve. A sensor detects the rotational position, i.e., the rotational angle, of the motor and has a movable section and a fixed sensing section. The movable section is attached to a rotary shaft of the motor, so that the movable section rotates as the rotary shaft rotates. The fixed sensing section is mounted to the throttle body and is disposed within the movable section. By detecting the rotation of the motor a computing section can accurately determine the degree of opening of the throttle valve. The sensor outputs the degree of opening of the throttle valve.

Throttle control devices

A throttle control device includes a motor coupled to the throttle shaft, so that the throttle valve rotates to open and close an intake air channel as the motor is driven. A detection device serves to detect the degree of opening of the throttle valve and includes a pair of magnets and a sensor. The magnets are mounted to the throttle shaft via a magnet support and are positioned to oppose each other across the rotational axis of the throttle shaft in order to produce a uniform magnetic field. The sensor is mounted to the throttle body and serves to detect a direction of the magnetic field produced by the magnets, so that the detection device outputs a signal representing the degree of opening of the throttle valve.

A rotational angle sensor detects a rotational angle of a rotary member based on a magnet field produced across the rotary member by a pair of magnets. At least one magnetic detection device is disposed within a holder and serves to detect the magnetic field and to output a signal representing the rotational angle of the rotary member. For example, the holder may be mounted to a fixed place. A printed circuit board is coupled to the holder and is electrically connected to the at least one magnetic detection device. A positioning device serves to position the at least one magnetic detection device in a predetermine position relative to the holder.

Rotational angle sensors

A throttle control device includes a throttle body that defines an intake air channel. A motor is coupled to a throttle shaft. As the motor is driven, the throttle valve rotates to open and close the intake air channel. A detection device serves to detect a degree of opening of the throttle valve and includes a pair of magnets and a sensor. The magnets are mounted to the throttle shaft via a magnet support and are positioned to oppose each other with respect to a rotational axis of the throttle shaft in order to produce a magnetic field. The sensor is mounted to the throttle body and serves to detect the magnetic field. The sensor comprises a sensing section and a computing section connected to each other. The sensing section may be inclined relative to the computing section in order to form a compact shape.
