In an engine-driven power generator, a fan-equipped flywheel and a drive shaft of a power generation section are connected to a crankshaft of an engine, and the power generation section is driven by the drive shaft being driven via the crankshaft. The fan-equipped flywheel is disposed between a crankcase of the engine and the power generation section, and small- and large-diameter cooling fans for cooling the engine and power generation section are provided on the fan-equipped flywheel.

Engine driven power generator

Engine-driven power generator includes: a power generation section having a drive shaft connected to a crankshaft; a gas-liquid separation unit provided upstream of the power generation section and having an air inlet port for taking in cooling air, the inlet port being disposed immediately under a fuel tank, the separation unit separating moisture from the taken-in air; and a cooling fan rotatable by the drive shaft to direct the taken-in air into the power generation section.

Engine-driven power generator with gas-liquid separation unit

In a multi-blade fan for an air-cooled engine, by defining the inlet angle &#x3b2;and the angle &#x3b2;'to make the sum thereof less than 80&#xb0; (preferably defining &#x3b2;as 32&#xb0; and &#x3b2;&#x2032;as 36&#xb0;), the multi-blade fan achieves greater air volume than in the case where the sum is made 80&#xb0; or greater, where &#x3b2;is the angle between the relative velocity direction and the peripheral direction on the inlet side of the blades, &#x3b2;is the angle between the relative velocity direction and the peripheral direction on the outlet side of the blades, and &#x3b2;&#x2032;is the difference obtained by subtracting &#x3b2;from 180&#xb0;. The number of blades can therefore be reduced to realize lower noise level while still maintaining the same air volume as the prior art multi-blade fan.

Multi-blade fan for air-cooled engine

A fuel cell stack includes a first separator and a second separator. A reactant air flow channel is formed on one surface of the second separator. A fuel gas flow channel is formed on one surface of the first separator. Further, a coolant air flow channel is formed on the first separator, on the other surface opposite to the fuel gas flow channel. The reactant air flow channel is connected between a reactant air inlet and a reactant air outlet. A coolant air flow channel is connected between a coolant air inlet and a coolant air outlet. The reactant air flow channel and the coolant air flow channel are configured such that the pressure loss of the reactant air between the reactant air inlet and the reactant air outlet and the pressure loss of the coolant air between the coolant air inlet and the coolant air outlet are substantially the same.

Fuel cell stack

In an air supply apparatus of a fuel cell having a fuel electrode and an air electrode, the air sucked in by an air blower is fed as cooling air to the cooling are passage groove, and a manifold is provided as a communicating member to communicate the exhaust side of a cooling air passage groove with the suction side of a reaction air passage groove (air electrode) such that both cooling air and reaction air are fed to the fuel cell by driving a single air blower. With this, the consumed electricity needed to drive the air supply fan can be reduced, and an increase in the size and weight can be suppressed. In addition, a flow-uniforming device such as current plates, a punching plate or a sponge plate are provided in the manifold.

Air supply apparatus for a fuel cell

In an engine generator unit, an engine is connected with an outer-rotor/magnet type generator that has a cantilevered outer rotor functioning also as a substitute for an engine fly wheel. Cooling fan device is attached to the outer rotor. The generator and cooling fan device are covered with a fain cover that is made of die-cast aluminum alloy. The fan cover has, at its one end remote from the engine, a cooling-air inlet portion for introducing cooling air from the outside via the cooling fan device, and a recoil starter is attached to the cooling-air inlet portion. Also, the fan cover is connected at its other end to the engine with a gap formed therebetween for blowing the cooling air onto an outer peripheral surface of the engine. Supporting leg members are secured to the fan cover and engine, and these leg members are also mounted to a framework via shock-absorbing members.

In an engine generator unit, a framework has vertical pipe frame portions at its four corners, and an engine and an electric-power generator to be driven by the engine are provided coaxially in a direction of an engine output shaft within a space defined by the framework. Fuel tank is provided above the engine and electric-power generator between a pair of support members each spanning between a different pair of the vertical pipe frame portions. Muffler connected to an exhaust-discharging end of the engine is positioned adjacent the fuel tank in a side-by-side relation to the fuel tank. Heat blocking cover covers top and side portions of the muffler and is placed between the pair of support members in such a way that a substantially entire top region of the space defined by the framework is covered with the fuel tank and the heat blocking cover. Thus, it is possible to increase the capacity of the muffler while providing for a large capacity of the fuel tank.

Engine generator unit

An engine generator includes an engine having an intake device and an exhaust device which are connected to an engine body, a generator connected to the engine, and a fuel tank for supplying fuel to the engine. The engine, the generator and the fuel tank are mounted on a frame. In this engine generator, the intake device and the exhaust device are connected to an upper portion of the engine body having a cylinder axis extending vertically to protrude to opposite sides from the engine body, and the fuel tank is disposed sideways of the engine body and the generator below the intake device or the exhaust device. Thus, when a vertical engine is used, the fuel tank can be effectively disposed to avoid the production of a wasteful space, thereby providing reductions in size, weight and cost.
