A belt-like article has fastening elements continuous attached along an entire periphery of a long tape main body. The belt-like article further includes engaging means capable of engaging with/disengaging from each other, each of which has an engaging portion provided at a predetermined position in a longitudinal direction of the tape main body. By winding the belt-like article spirally about an end portion thereof so as to engage the opposing fastening elements successively, a diversified types of the storage bodies can be obtained. Further, by engaging the engaging means with each other, the belt-like article can be used as a neck strap for hanging the storage body for accommodating an object. Therefore, the belt-like article is provided with not only an application as the belt-like article but also an application as a storage body for various objects, which are functionally related to each other, so that it can be used sufficiently for practical purpose.

Disclosed is a recyclable slide fastener having substantially all the component parts thereof made of the same type of synthetic resin material. In the fundamental embodiment of the slide fastener having a pair of fastener tapes and coupling elements fixed to the longitudinal edges of the fastener tapes, they are made of a synthetic resin material of the same type selected from the group consisting of a polyamide resin, a polyester resin, a polyolefin resin, and a vinyl chloride resin. When the slide fastener comprises sewing threads for the fixation of the coupling elements to the fastener tapes and/or core cords extended as inserted through the individual coupling elements, they are made of the same type of synthetic resin as the fastener tapes and the coupling elements. In the slide fastener of the type having upper and lower stop members provided respectively at the upper and lower ends of the rows of coupling elements or the open-link type slide fastener which has a pin-and-box separator and a pair of reinforcing sheet-like members fixed to the lower end portions of the fastener tapes, they are made of the same type of synthetic resin material as the other component parts mentioned above. Preferably the slider is also made of the same type of synthetic resin material as the other component parts mentioned above.

A method which is capable of manufacturing regenerated synthetic resin products, particularly slide fastener parts of regenerated synthetic resin, with good quality by using as a raw material such waste synthetic resin materials as emanate from the production line of slide fasteners of synthetic resin or arise from waste plastic products. This method includes granulating the waste synthetic resin material with a rotary blade kept in motion at a high speed and, at the same time, heating the resin material by the heat of friction with the rotary blade, heating and melting the hot granulated synthetic resin and deaerating and extruding the hot molten resin to obtain a strand, and pelletizing the extruded strand thereby forming primary pellets, subjecting the resultant primary pellets to solid-phrase polymerization in a vacuum or in an atmosphere of an inert gas at a prescribed temperature thereby forming regenerated pellets, and then forming the regenerated pellets into the shape of a product or the shape of a part aimed at. Preferably, the hot molten resin is subjected to a treatment of filtration for removal of extraneous substance at the step for forming the primary pellets.

Method for manufacture of regenerated synthetic resin product

A flexible fastener comprises a pair of opposed fastener strips each including a base plate; and a longitudinal marginal grip portion integrally formed along one longitudinal edge thereof. A pair of opposed female and male coupling portion are mounted on the inner sides on the base plates so as to project toward each other to coming into coupling engagement with each other, thereby releasably join the opposed fastener strips. Two pairs of elongated ridges are provided on the inner sides of the fastener strips, and a pair of elongated ridge are provided on the outer sides of fastener strips so as to provide increased friction between fingers and the fastener strips.

Flexible fastener

A flexible closure device comprises a pair of elongated fastener strips each including a web portion and a marginal portion. The marginal portion includes a plurality of interlocking ribs terminating in hooked coupling heads for coupling engagement with corresponding coupling heads. The middle rib has its hooked coupling heads project slightly beyond the rest of ribs. One side surface, of the middle rib, devoid of the hooked coupling head is slightly inclined downwardly outwardly relative to the general plane of the middle rib.

A slide fastener stringer comprises a support tape having a foundation fabric strip either woven or knitted which is coated on both sides with a coat of elastomeric or rubberry material and a row of coupling elements mounted on an inner longitudinal edge of the tape. The coat is reduced in thickness along the inner edges of the tape to alleviate the tension of sewn seams thereat which secure the coupling elements to the tape.

A container has an inner compartment case, which is installed in the container body by a bend on a peripheral edge of a slide fastener support member, thereby covering a space between the container body and the inner compartment case. The inner compartment case is made by vacuum forming on a thermoplastic sheet, from which the inner compartment case is clipped to have a flat peripheral edge.

A runner structure composed of a runner and a sprue is discharged from an injection molding machine into a chopping apparatus having a first cutter mechanism and a second cutter mechanism. The runner structure is guided by a guide mechanism in the chopping apparatus toward the first and second cutter mechanisms. The sprue is cut off from the runner by the first cutter mechanism, and then the runner and the sprue are chopped by the second cutter mechanism. The first cutter mechanism has a lower cutter for stopping the runner structure by engagement with the sprue, and an upper cutter movable into coaction with the lower cutter for cutting off the sprue. The second cutter mechanism includes a feed roller for feeding the runner intermittently and a cutter reciprocably movable for chopping the runner on the feed roller. The chopped pieces are discharged through a hopper and delivered into the injection molding machine for recycling.
