An air supplying apparatus for supplying a clean room with air having a conditioned cleanliness, temperature and/or humidity includes an air control unit for discharging the controlled air, and an air outlet duct connected to an air outlet of the air control unit so as to receive the conditioned air from the air control unit through an opening which opens in a direction different from the direction of flow of air through the air control unit. The air outlet duct is formed from one or more perforated sheets having a multiplicity of air outlet apertures. The cross-sectional area of the air passage formed in the air outlet duct preferably progressively decreases towards the downstream end of the duct. A joint duct, which guides air in a direction different from the directions of flow of air through the air control unit and through the air outlet duct, may be connected between the air control unit and the air outlet duct.

Air supplying apparatus

A method of cutting a steel pipe or/and junction joints in form of a steel pipe pile or interlocked steel pipe pile used, for example, in formation of an underwater foundation support, after it is completed. The method is executed in accordance with a non-contact technique or the combination of a contact technique and a non-contact technique. The method is carried out by a plasma arc cutting device or the combination of a contact type cutting grinder and non-contact type cutting device, which can effectively cut the steel pipe, with no possibility of biting of the cutting edge in the cut gap of the steel pipe.

Method for cutting steel pipe piles

Molten slag fresh from a smelting or refining furnace is ladled into a pan on a wheeled carriage and is thereby transported to a first heat recovery station, where water is heated by radiation from the slag while the latter is being agitated and granulated. On granulation the slag is conveyed as by a skip hoist to a second heat recovery station, where the residual heat of the slag is utilized to heat air by convection. The heated air is directed into a utility device such as a boiler, from which the cooled air is fed back to the second heat recovery station for reheating. Several embodiments are disclosed.
