A buckle assembly comprises a plug member and a socket member releasably engageable therewith, the plug member having a pair of spaced resilient arms with engaging grooves and the socket member having engaging ridges formed in its upper and lower surfaces, the arrangement being that the engaging ridges in the socket member are releasably engageable with the corresponding grooves in the plug member at areas relatively close to the center of the buckle body and away from the sides thereof.

Buckle assembly

A cloth pick-up apparatus is used which comprises pressing mechanism for a pressing one end of the top cloth piece from the upper side, a catch roller having on a part of its circumferential surface catch needles and movable toward and away from the other end of the top cloth piece, the catch roller being adapted to be driven for rotation to feed the top cloth piece in a direction remote from the pressing mechanism, a feed roller rotatable in timed relation with the catch roller, and a pressure roller movable toward and away from a cloth-piece-feed surface of the feed roller and rotatable in cooperation with the feed roller. The catch roller is rotated touching one end of front face of the cloth pieces with the other end of the cloth piece pressed by the pressing roller so that the upper most cloth piece is caught by the catch needles and, at the same time, is raised. Then the cloth pieces are fed one by one to the next station as the individual cloth piece is clamped between the feed surfaces of the feed roller in driven rotation and the pressure roller.

Cloth piece supply apparatus and method

A method of molding a separable bottom stop assembly on a concealed slide fastener, including: forming a number of space portions devoid of fastener elements at predetermined intervals in a concealed slide fastener; impregnating molten synthetic resin in fastener tapes at areas around the space portion; heat-molding and hardening the tapes in such a manner that confronting edge portions of the tapes are turned over; cutting the tapes across the space portion; injection molding a second pin member of the separable bottom stop assembly on the edge portion of one tape and a first pin member of a box member on the edge portion of the other tape at the space portion, contiguously to the fastener elements; and attaching a box to the first pin member to complete the box member. The result is that a separable concealed slide fastener, which could not be put to practical use conventionally, can be manufactured simply.

Method of molding a separable bottom stop assembly on a concealed slide

A separable end stop for concealed slide fasteners includes a box which has a guide slot extending in a front wall of the box for receiving and guiding folded portions of two stringers, and a retaining recess formed at an upper open end of the box for receiving therein the whole of a lower end portion of a slider body in such a manner that right and left front wall portions extending on opposite sides of the front wall overlap the corresponding wings of the slider body. Each of the front wall portions has an upper end extension projecting from the open upper end the box to ensure that the wings of the slider body are overlapped with the front wall portions of the box. The box further includes a locking portion formed on an interior surface facing a box-pin insertion hole, and a box pin has first and second locking portions on opposite sidewalls thereof, interlockingly engageable with the locking portion and a partition wall, respectively, to assemble the box and the box pin. The separable end stop thus constructed is able to engage engage and disengage two stringers smoothly and reliably and facilitates the sewing attachment between the stringers to an article.

Separable end stop for concealed slide fastener

In a separable bottom end stop assembly for a concealed slide fastener, a socket member has first- and second-plug-member insertion holes on opposite sides of a central catch plate, and an engaging tongue projecting inwardly from one side wall. When a first plug member is inserted into the socket member, a locking portion on one side of a lower end of the first plug member comes into locking engagement with the catch plate and an engaging portion on the other side of the lower end of the first plug member comes into engagement with the engaing tongue. With continued inserting of the first plug member, an inwardly directed hook-shape end of an engaging projection extending from an upper end of the socket member comes into engagement with an engaging recess in a rear wall of a slider. In this state, a second plug member is inserted into the second-plug-member insertion hole, and a slider is then pulled so as to move the socket member in a predetermined range, whereupon only the slider is pulled to join the opposed stringers together. To separate the closed stringers, the slider is pulled to push the socket member down, and then the second plug member is removed from the socket member and the slider.

Separable bottom end stop assembly

A separable bottom stop has a hollow socket box having a partition provided longitudinally therein to thus define in the socket box a pair of first and second holes in side-by-side relation to each other. An insert pin is mounted on a lower end of one stringer and is adapted for coming into and out of fitting engagement with the second hole. A socket pin is mounted on a lower end of the other stringer and is reciprocally retained in the first hole. A limiter limits the reciprocation of the socket pin through the first hole to a predetermined distance.

Separable bottom stop for concealed type slide fastener

A swivel hook assembly comprises a web-engaging member adapted for engaging a web and having a pivotal hole formed therein and a hook member including a hook body and a coupling member for pivotally joining the hook body with the web-engaging member. The coupling member comprises a pair of opposed guide studs, a pair of opposed resilient engaging studs mounted in a circles on one end of the hook body and a bridge block also mounted on said one end of the hook body, disposed between the engaging studs with spaces left therebetween and interconnected with the guide studs, each opposed engaging stud having an outward-projecting prong formed on the upper end, the guide studs being round in their respective outer peripheral surfaces and having the outer round peripheral surfaces run along an imaginary circle which is slightly less in diameter than the pivotal hole, the outward-projecting prongs of the engaging studs being forced through the pivotal hole against the resiliency of the engaging studs and snapped into engagement with the pivotal hole under the resiliency so that the hook member is pivotally mounted on the web-engaging member.

Swivel hook assembly

A buckle comprising socket and plug bodies formed of plastics. The socket body has upper and lower plates connected with each other at their one ends. The upper plate has a circular through-hole. The lower plate has an inwardly curved locking projection extending from an annular edge portion at the side of the insertion opening and terminating in an engaging edge. The plug body has an insertion member including a resilient operating plate which extends from the side of a base end portion of the insertion member and which terminates in a downwardly directed toughing ledge resiliently touching the locking projection when the socket and plug bodies are coupled.

Strap buckle

A buckle comprises a locking crossbar connected at its ends to respective ends of a pair of parallel side bars and a wrapping crossbar disposed in parallel spaced relation to the locking crossbar and connected at its ends with the side bars at their respective intermediate positions. The wrapping crossbar has a pair of juxtaposed sharp projecting ridges each extending longitudinally thereof; one projecting ridge being provided on the upper surface of the wrapping crossbar and the other on that side of the wrapping crossbar which is remote from the locking crossbar for increased frictional resistance of the belt to be inserted through the buckle.

Buckle

A buckle assembly formed from a molded plastic material comprises a plug member and a socket member releasably engageable therewith, the plug member having a pair of spaced engaging tongues adapted to engage with corresponding flexural flanges of the socket member to urge the flanges to displace radially outwardly beyond the confines of lateral sides of the socket member. The plug member includes a locking prong resiliently movable into and out of a window formed in the socket member. A single hand manipulation of the locking prong and/or the flexural flanges facilitates resilient release of the plug member from the socket member.
