An information processing apparatus includes a display section and a main body section. The display section is disposed on a first surface and has a display panel and a display panel case. The display panel case houses the display panel such that the display panel can display an image. The display panel case has a protrusion portion formed at a first end. The main body section is disposed on a second surface and has an input section and a depressed portion. The depressed portion is formed at a second end of the second surface and has a pierced portion and a housing portion. The pierced portion is formed from the second surface to an opposite surface thereof such that a battery is attached to the pierced portion. The housing portion axially houses the protrusion portion on a side opposite to the input section with respect to the pierced portion.

Information processing apparatus

An information processing apparatus configured to have: a display section () pivotally provided with respect to an apparatus main body () with a pair of hinges () so as to pivot between a close position to close the apparatus main body and an open position to open the apparatus main body; and an operation section () executing a predetermined function by being operated is disposed between the pair of hinges, so that operations to the operation section are possible in the both states of the open position and the close position of the display section.

Electronic device

A mounting/demounting device for mounting and demounting a card-type peripheral device that enhances or adds to functions of a portable computer or the like. The mounting/demounting device has a supporting structure having a slot for receiving the card-type peripheral device, for supporting said card-type peripheral device received through the slot. The mounting/demounting device further has a releasing structure having an operating portion which when operated causes the card-type peripheral device supported in the supporting structure to be ejected out of the supporting structure. The operating portion has a part that is foldable toward the slot of the supporting structure.

A portable electronic device including a body, and a display portion which is openably and closably provided with respect to the body, wherein a short battery portion is provided at the back end of the body, and a long battery portion is rotatably provided with respect to the short battery portion; and an electronic device battery. In the electronic device and the electronic device battery, a simple structure for electrically connecting the battery to the body can be used to support the back end of the body of the electronic device above a supporting surface in order to easily tilt the body.

A portable electronic device such as a portable personal computer has a first part such as a main unit incorporating a heat-generating component, e.g., a CPU, a second part such as a display unit, and a connector for pivotally connecting the first and second parts. The connector includes hinges that provide mechanical connection between the first and the second parts, while conducting heat from the heat-generating component in the first part to the second part, so that the heat is dissipated from the second part. The electronic device this has enhanced heat dissipation without being required to have a greater size.

A portable electronic means including a body and a display portion which is openably and closably mounted with respect to the body, and an electronic device battery. The portable electronic means further includes a pair of hinges (opening-and-closing portions) for openably and closably mounting the display portion to the body, with a battery being mechanically and electrically mounted between the pair of hinges so as to be removable therefrom. The electronic means makes it possible to eliminate all the factors that prevent a reduction in the thickness of the electronic device due to the use of an externally mounting type battery, and has a display portion capable of being opened and closed with respect to its body by more than 180 degrees.

Disclosed is a hinge for electronic apparatus which is capable of effecting heat dissipation without having to increase the size of the electronic apparatus. Hinges 1A and 1B for electronic apparatus are provided for the purpose of foldably connecting a first portion 2 and a second portion 3 of an electronic apparatus. Each hinge includes a stationary member 11 which has a strength maintaining portion 11a for maintaining mechanical strength and a heat conducting portion 12 for effecting heat conduction and which is provided on the first portion 2, a movable member 17 which has a strength maintaining portion 17a for maintaining mechanical strength and a heat conducting portion 13 for effecting heat conduction and which is provided on the second portion 3, and a joint portion 30 for joining the stationary member 11a and the movable member 17 to each other while effecting heat conduction between the heat conducting portion 11a of the stationary member and the heat conducting portion 13 of the movable member.
