An optical film containing an anti-glare layer having irregularities on a surface thereof, wherein the irregularities are arranged such that the value of NN determined by the sequence of the following steps is 1,000 or less: dividing the irregular surface of the optical film into 10,000 planes; calculating, for each divided plane, the standard deviation D of the distance between positions where adjacent high or low spots have peaks; determining the mean value M for the values of the standard deviation D; and determining the number NN of divided planes for which the value of the standard deviation D is 50% of the mean value M or lower; and, wherein the frequency at which the angle of inclination to the regular reflecting plane as measured with an aperture of two square microns is 0.5 or less degrees is 2% or lower.

Optical film containing anti-glare layer and image display apparatus using the same

There is disclosed a transparent magnetic recording medium comprising at least one magnetic recording layer containing ferromagnetic particles, on a support, wherein an overcoat solution which comprises at least one kind of lubricant wax dispersion and at least one kind of anionic surfactant in an amount of 0.1% to 30%, based on the total weight of the lubricant wax dispersion, is coated on the at least one magnetic recording layer. There is also disclosed a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having the transparent magnetic recording layer. The transparent magnetic recording medium can exhibit both a good state of coated surface and secure magnetic input/output performance. The silver halide photographic light-sensitive material can provide a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having the transparent magnetic recording layer with the above-described property.

Transparent magnetic recording medium

There is disclosed a transparent magnetic recording medium comprising a support and at least one magnetic recording layer containing magnetic particles provided thereon, which comprises, as an upper layer coated on the magnetic recording layer, a layer that contains at least one sort of spherical inorganic particles having a Mohs' hardness of 6 to 8, the surface of the particles being treated with at least one of primary, secondary, or tertiary amine-series silane coupling agents, and that contains a higher fatty acid ester sliding agent. The transparent magnetic recording medium causes no error in magnetic input/output and also excels in transparency.

In a photothermographic material comprising an organic silver salt, a silver halide, and a reducing agent, a hydrazine compound of a special structure and a sensitizing dye of a special structure are contained. The photothermographic material shows high Dmax and ultrahigh contrast.

Photothermographic material

A photothermographic material has a support bearing a photosensitive layer containing an organic silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, and a ultrahigh contrast promoting agent. The support is a plastic film having a Tg of at least 90&deg; C. Better results are obtained when the support experiences a dimensional change of up to 0.04% when heated at 115&deg; C. for 30 seconds. Preferably, a conductive polymer layer is provided typically as an outermost layer, and an outermost layer has a Bekk smoothness of up to 4,000 seconds, typically a back layer has a Bekk smoothness of up to 4,000 seconds. The photothermographic material has improved dimensional stability and produces ultrahigh contrast images with high Dmax.

A photothermographic element contains a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide which has been formed independent of the non-photosensitive organic silver salt, and a binder. An image forming layer contains the photosensitive silver halide, a latex of a polymer having a Tg of -30.degree. C. to 40.degree. C. as a main binder, and a compound of formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is --N.dbd., --N(R)--, --0--, or --S--, wherein R is hydrogen, hydroxyl, aliphatic hydrocarbon, aryl or heterocyclic group, Z is a single bond or a group of atoms necessary to form a 5- to 7-membered ring with X, and Q.sub.1 and Q.sub.2 each are a group of atoms necessary to form an aromatic hydrocarbon or heterocyclic ring fused to the ring completed by Z.

Photothermographic element

A heat developable light-sensitive material comprising an organic acid silver and silver halide, which contains a compound represented by the following formula (A) and a hydrazine derivative: ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and R' and R' each represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms.

Heat developable light-sensitive material

A photothermographic element comprising a photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent, and a compound of formula (I) on a support has a high sensitivity and storage stability.

Thermographic photographic element

A silver halide photographic material is disclosed, comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least 30 mol % of silver halide grains contained in the emulsion of the emulsion layer are silver chloride, the emulsion contains not more than 1.times.10.sup.-6 mol per mol of silver of a rhodium compound and/or not more than 1.times.10.sup.-5 mol per mol of silver of an iridium compound, and the silver halide grains have been selenium-sensitized. There is also disclosed a method for processing the silver halide photographic material.

Image formation method

There is disclosed a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having a high sensitivity and an excellent rapid processability after exposure with a camera for a plate making. The light-sensitive material comprises a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing silver halide grains.
