A switch controller for switching power supply is coupled to an auxiliary winding of the switching power supply through a detecting resistor. The switch controller provides a detecting current passing through the detecting resistor for keeping the voltage level of a detecting signal transmitted by the detecting resistor higher than a predetermined voltage. In this way, the switch controller can avoid the latch-up phenomenon caused by receiving the detecting signal of the negative voltage level. In addition, the switch controller can detect the magnitude of an input voltage of the switching power supply by means of the detecting current, and accordingly control the operation of the switching power supply.

Switch controller for switching power supply and method thereof

A control apparatus and a control method for a power factor correction power converter are provided. The control apparatus is configured to reduce the variation rate of a reference signal with a rising portion and a falling portion. When the primary winding almost completely releases the stored energy, and the falling portion of the reference signal reaches a determined condition, the control apparatus turns on a switch for increasing the stored energy of the primary winding.

Control apparatus and control method for a power factor correction power converter

Disclosed is a switching converter without an auxiliary winding. The switching converter has a transformer, a switching transistor, a coupling circuit and a regulating circuit. The transformer has a primary winding and a secondary winding, and is for transforming an input voltage into an output voltage; a first end of the switching transistor is coupled to the primary winding of the transformer, and the switching transistor is for controlling an operation of the transformer according to a control signal; the coupling circuit is for coupling a signal at the first end of the switching transistor to generate a coupled signal; and the regulating circuit is for detecting the coupled signal to generate the control signal according to the detecting result.
