A lens barrel and an imaging device which can be miniaturized, the lens barrel with a movable cylinder that moves along the optical axis with a change in focal length; first and second drive units in the movable cylinder; and first and second lens driven by the first and second drive units respectively to move along the optical axis relative to the movable cylinder. The movement amount of the first lens relative to the cylinder when the focal length is changed to a second focal length from a first state where the first lens is at a position closest to a subject with a first focal length is less than the movement amount of the first lens relative to the cylinder when the focal length is changed to the second focal length from a second state where the first lens is closer to an image plane than the first state.

A zoom optical system includes a plurality of lens groups, and upon zooming distances between adjacent lens groups change. The zoom optical system has a focusing lens group that moves upon focusing and an image-side lens group disposed adjacent to an image side of the focusing lens group. Zoom optical system, optical apparatus and method for manufacturing the zoom optical system

A plant monitoring apparatus according to an embodiment includes a determiner and a display processor. The determiner compares a first process value acquired in time series from a first point of a monitoring target in a plant and a limit value corresponding to the first process value to determine a time when the first process value exceeds the limit value. The display processor causes a display device to display, in time series, the first process value within a time range decided on the basis of the time obtained by the determiner and the limit value corresponding to the first process value.

In one embodiment, a plant monitoring system includes a threshold acquiring module, a judging module, and a warning module. The threshold acquiring module acquires in advance, based on a value obtained by leveling the dispersion in first process values corresponding to output values at a first point in a monitoring object and a value representing the dispersion, first thresholds representing a first range of the dispersion in the first process values and second thresholds representing a second range. The judging module compares the first process values chronologically acquired based on the output values at the first point with the corresponding first thresholds and second thresholds. The warning module creates alert information containing information on at least a time point when the first process value exceeds one of the first thresholds and the second thresholds.

A control method is proposed that controls inter-component phase difference solitons by using splitting or fusion caused by the interaction between inter-component phase difference solitons themselves, without the need for application of external energy. By using a line structure () in which an inter-component phase difference soliton propagation line through which an inter-component phase difference soliton (So) which can exist in a superconducting environment can travel is divided into a plurality of branch lines (-and-) at least at a branch end (Po) set in the middle of the line, an inter-component phase difference soliton (So) in a main line (M) which is an undivided line portion is allowed to be split and to enter the plurality of branch lines (-and-) without a supply of external energy, or inter-component phase difference solitons (Soand So) in the respective branch lines (-and-) are fused together without a supply of external energy, whereby an inter-component phase difference soliton (So) is allowed to propagate through the main line (M).

A system manages an optimal load distribution of a total output of a power plant composed of a plurality of units. Plant specifications data of each unit required for optimal load distribution is input and stored. Optimal load distribution calculating carries out a calculation based on data stored. The result of the calculation is stored. A sending-end characteristic curve, a fuel cost curve, a curve of the load optimally distributed to each unit versus the total output, a fuel cost curve for the total output, and fuel cost curves for comparison between a conventional load distribution and the optimal load distribution based on stored data are displayed. An optimal load distribution schedule displays a power transmission time schedule table, a power transmission time schedule curve, and a fuel cost comparison table for different operating schemes.

Optimal load distributing system

A most recent value of data fetched from a plant facility is temporarily stored and extracted and then stored in a plant history data table. On another front, a monitoring point for monitoring a plant error is registered in response to an operator request. A monitoring point is used as a key to select and register a main variable point having a strong correlation from the plant history data table. A statistical upper/lower limit function is defined on the basis of time-series plant data of monitoring points and main variable points. By referring to information in a table in which a limit value function is stored, the limit value is periodically matched with the content of a plant-data most-recent-value table. If the most recent value is outside the limit range, deviation information is stored in a determination result table. If a new plant error occurs, an error signal and the content of the determination result table is outputted and displayed.
