Disclosed herein are crosslinked spherical fine particles having good toughness, elastic properties, and chemical properties, and a process for producing the same, said fine particles being obtained by radical polymerization in the suspended state of a component [M] capable of radical polymerization containing a vinyl group-containing compound (V) capable of radical polymerization which is obtained by reaction of (a) a selected polyol, (b) an isocyanate group-containing compound, and (c) an active hydrogen-containing vinyl monomer capable of radical polymerization. Also disclosed herein are the secondary products of the crosslinked spherical fine particles, which include a coating composition and its derivatives (such as filmlike article, sheetlike article, adhesive filmlike article, and adhesive sheetlike article) and a peelable pressure-sensitive adhesive and peelable pressure-sensitive adhesive article.

A radiation sensitizer of the present invention contains a particular nitrotriazole compound as an active ingredient and accelerates inactivation of intractable hypoxic cells in a malignant tumor by irradiation.

C. to react the water-absorbing resin powder with the polyhydric alcohol; [II] a water-absorbing agent composed of a mixture of the water-absorbing agent [I] with finely divided silica; [III] a water-absorbing agent obtained by pulverizing and granulating a mixture of the water-absorbing agent [I] with an aqueous liquid; and [IV] a water-absorbing agent composed of a mixture of the water-absorbing agent [III] with finely divided silica.

A process for producing a dyed finely divided hardened resin of uniform particle size excelling in dispersibility which comprises, in combination, the steps of reacting benzoguanamine with formaldehyde in a ratio of 1.0 mole of the former to 1.2 - 3.5 moles of the latter in an aqueous medium at a pH ranging between 5 and 10 to prepare an aqueous liquid of a soluble and fusible resin having a degree of modified water tolerance of 0-150%, preparing an aqueous emulsion of a dyed soluble and fusible resin by using said aqueous liquid, a dye and a protective colloid, adding to the thus prepared aqueous emulsion in a ratio of 1 - 15 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the soluble and fusible resin of ultramicroscopic silica of a specific surface area as measured by the Brunauer, Emmett and Teller Method in the range of about 50 m.sup.2 /g to about 400 m.sup.2 /g and a particle size in the range of about 0.005 to about 0.05 micron, adding a curing catalyst, holding the aqueous emulsion for at least one hour at a temperature in the range of 40.degree.-60.degree. C., heating the aqueous emulsion at a temperature in the range of 60.degree.-200.degree. C. at normal atmospheric or superatmospheric pressure to harden the resin thereby preparing a suspension of a dyed finely divided hardened resin, and thereafter separating the hardened resin from the suspension followed by drying and de-aggregating the dried hardened resin.

Process for producing dyed finely divided hardened benzoguanamine resins

A process for preparing a suspension of a finely divided hardened resin which comprises, in combination, the steps of reacting in an aqueous medium at a pH of 5-10 a member selected from the group consisting of benzoguanamine and a mixture of 100-50% by weight of benzoguanamine and 0-50% by weight of melamine with formaldehyde in a ratio of 1 mole of the former to 1.2-3.5 moles of the latter to prepare an aqueous liquid of a soluble and fusible resin having a degree of modified water tolerance of 0-150%, introducing this aqueous liquid to an aqueous solution of protective colloid with stirring to prepare an emulsion of a soluble and fusible resin, adding a curing catalyst to said emulsion, followed by holding same for at least one hour at a temperature in the range of 40.degree.-60.degree.C., and thereafter heating the emulsion at a temperature in the range of 60.degree.-200.degree.C. under normal atmospheric or superatmospheric pressure to effect the hardening of the resin.
