An aqueous microcapsule suspension liquid exhibiting an excellent (long-term) storage stability and allowing easy re-dispersion and dilution with water even after such a storage, is produced by adding a microorganism-fermented polysaccharide of succinoglycan type as a thickening agent into a microcapsule slurry, or by adding such a microorganism-fermented polysaccharide as a thickening agent to a microcapsule slurry after uniform dilution with water.

Microcapsule suspension liquid and process for production thereof

A microcapsule (or microencapsulated product) having a uniform and smooth coating film and also an excellent performance of gradually liberating the content material is produced at a good particle size distribution while suppressing the occurrence of isolated or aggregated film material, aggregated microcapsules and isolated core material. The production process includes: a first coating step of mixing a water-soluble cationic amino resin and an anionic surfactant in the presence of a hydrophobic core material dispersed in an aqueous medium to coat the dispersed core material with a coacervate of the cationic amino resin and the anionic surfactant; and a second coating step of adding an amino resin prepolymer into an aqueous dispersion liquid containing the coated dispersed core material and polycondensating the amino resin prepolymer to further coat the coated dispersed core material with a polycondensate of the amino resin prepolymer.

Microcapsule and process for production thereof

Disclosed herein is a fluidized-bed reaction apparatus comprising a perforated plate located in the lower portion of a fluidized-bed reaction tower for forming fluidized-bed of particles thereon, the plate having regions with different opening ratios, at least the outer peripheral portion and the geometrical center portion of the plate having an opening ratio larger than an average opening ratio of the plate, inlets of a heating-fluidizing gas and the particles receiving the reaction, outlets of the particles and a discharge gas, and a fluidized-bed reaction process using such an apparatus. Upon operation of the apparatus, stationary circulation of the particles is obtained in the fluidized-bed thereby the particles are scarcely pulverized or entrained and the circulation velocity is increased.

Fluidized-bed reaction apparatus and a fludizing bed reaction process

A fluidized-bed activation furnace for activated carbon is disclosed. The furnace is provided with a central hollow pillar having an outlet for discharging activated carbon granules at the upper portion thereof, a bowl-shaped cap covering the top portion of the central hollow pillar and a perforated plate fixed to the outer periphery of the central hollow pillar below the outlet for discharging activated carbon granules. After the granules of carbon are activated while a fluidized-bed is formed of the activated carbon granules, the substantially whole amount of granular activated carbon is discharged in a short time maintaining a high temperature.

A process for treating a polyarylene sulfide polymer slurry which has been provided by reactions of an alkali sulfide and a dichloroaromatic compound in N-methylpyrrolidone, the process comprising the following steps of (i) through (iv): (i) a step of separating a polymer slurry which contains polyarylene sulfide particles, alkali chloride as a by-product in the form of crystals and a solution and an arylene sulfide oligomer and has a liquid component which is principally N-methylpyrrolidone into polyarylene sulfide particles and a slurry containing the crystalline alkali chloride, the oligomer, and unreacted organic material by screening the slurry without diluting with water; (ii) a step of subjecting the slurry containing the crystalline alkali chloride to solid-liquid separation to obtain the crystalline alkali chloride; (iii) a step of washing the polyarylene sulfide particles with an organic solvent and water; and (iv) a step of recovering the organic solvent from a filtrate obtained by solid-liquid separation.

Process for treating a polymer slurry

In a process for producing a polyarylene thioether having high stability by dehalogenation/sulfurization reaction of an alkali metal (M) sulfide such as sodium sulfide and a dihaloaromatic compound such as paradichlorobenzene in a polar organic solvent, the haloaromatic compound is used excessively in an appropriate range rather than the alkali metal sulfide and the latter stage of the reaction or all period of the reaction is conducted under a powerful stirring condition to a certain degree to obtain the polyarylene thioether wherein the concentration of --SM or --SH groups of the polymer terminal is lowered. The polyarylene thioether thus obtained suppresses the coloration in the processing with an apparatus made of ferrous material such as extruder.

Process for preparing polyarylene thioether having thiol/thiolate end

An apparatus for the continuous recovery of organic or inorganic solvent from a waste gas containing the solvent, which comprises an adsorption unit for causing the solvent present in the waste gas to be adsorbed on an activated carbon and a regeneration unit for simultaneously effecting the recovery of the adsorbed solvent and the regeneration of the activated carbon, characterized in that a moisture-desorption unit is interposed between the two units mentioned above, whereby the water content of the recovered solvent is kept down below 1%.

Apparatus for continuous recovery of solvent

An apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas containing solvent vapours by bringing the exhaust gas and adsorbent particles into continuous mutual contact to adsorb the solvent vapours onto the adsorbent particles and subsequently regenerating the adsorbent particles containing the solvent vapours thus adsorbed and simultaneously recovering the solvent vapours. In regenerating the adsorbent particles containing the solvent vapours, the apparatus is capable of advantageously using an incondensable inert gas as a carrier gas for regenerating the adsorbent particles.

High grade cokes are produced by a simple expedient such that a raw material oil is charged into a coking drum and is subjected therein to a two step operation, namely reforming of the oil and subsequent coking under bubbling into the oil of a heated non-oxidizing gas.
