A camera includes a first motor, a second motor which differs in driving characteristic from the first motor, a first transmission mechanism arranged to transmit a rotation output in a first direction of the first motor to a driving system for film winding, a second transmission mechanism arranged to transmit a rotation output in a first direction of the second motor to another driving system for taking shots, and a changeover mechanism arranged to switch the transmission of a rotation output in a second direction of the first motor selectively to a driving system for film rewinding or to the other driving system on the basis of a rotation output in a second direction of the second motor.

In a photographic device including a camera body having at least one motor built therein for driving at least one of a film winding transmission system, a charging transmission system and another transmission system, and an accessory detachably mounted on the camera body and having an auxiliary motor built therein, a switching mechanism is arranged for switching over the transmission of power in response to the mounting of the accessory on the camera body so that at least one of the film winding transmission system, the charging transmission system and the other transmission system is not able to be connected to the motor built in the camera body, and the one transmission system not connected thereto is able to be driven by the auxiliary motor built in the accessory.

The operation control means makes a first operation of shifting to the film rewind state in response to the completion of the winding by the detecting means and a second operation of shifting to the film rewind state by the operation of the switching means different from each other. Therefore, an efficient shifting to the rewind state can be performed.

A film transportation apparatus having an electric motor as the drive source for transporting the film in which for each frame of the film to be advanced, there are provided a speed control period of, while giving a driving power to the motor, controlling its speed, and a braking period that follows. The factor of causing the speed of movement of the film by the motor to vary is examined in respect to the voltage of the electrical power source, the number of exposed frames of the film and others for the purpose of controlling the effective voltage given to the motor in the speed control period.
