The present disclosure aims to provide an antenna directivity adjustment apparatus and an antenna directivity adjustment method capable of preventing an antenna gain from being reduced and easily adjusting a direction of an antenna. An antenna directivity adjustment apparatus () includes: a second antenna () that is opposed to a radiation surface () of a first antenna () and receives radio waves output from the first antenna (); and an output unit () that is provided in the second antenna (), converts a first beam width of the received radio waves into a second beam width wider than the first beam width, and outputs the radio waves having the second beam width.

Antenna directivity adjustment apparatus and antenna directivity adjustment method

Provided is an antenna, including: a dielectric support portion mounted to a tip of a waveguide; and a reflector bonded and fixed to the dielectric support portion. The dielectric support portion includes: an accommodating portion accommodating the reflector therein; and a fall-off preventing arrangement preventing the reflector from falling off under a state in which the reflector is accommodated in the accommodating portion.

A micro-machine switch in accordance with the present invention includes a supporter having a predetermined height relative to a surface of a substrate, a flexible cantilever projecting from the supporter in parallel with a surface of the substrate, and having a distal end facing a gap formed between two signal lines, a contact electrode formed on the cantilever, facing the gap, a lower electrode formed on the substrate in facing relation with a part of the cantilever, and an intermediate electrode formed on the cantilever in facing relation with the lower electrode. The micro-machine switch can operate at a lower drive voltage than a voltage at which a conventional micro-machine switch operates, and can enhance a resistance of an insulating film against a voltage.

The high-frequency device comprises a dielectric substrate on which are formed a plurality of waveguides for carrying high-frequency signals, a phase control layer, and dielectric spacers arranged between the phase control layer and another layer to provide space in which a switch formed in the phase control layer is enclosed.

A relatively small phased array antenna is formed at a low cost even if the number of radiating elements increases in order to improve the gain. The phased array antenna has a multilayered structure in which a number of radiating elements ( ), a phase shift unit ( ) for changing the phase of an RF signal transmitted/received at each radiating element, and a distribution/synthesis unit ( ) are formed on different layers. Signal lines (X Xm) and scanning lines (Y Yn) are wired on a phase control layer ( ) to connect phase shift units to each other in a matrix. Phased array antenna and method of manufacturing method

A phased-array antenna apparatus used in a microwave or milliwave band and having a high gain includes a multilayer structure. The multilayer structure is constituted by M radiating elements, M phase shifters, phase shifting control circuits, and a feeding unit. The phase shifters are respectively coupled to the radiating elements to shift the phase of a feeding signal supplied to each of the radiating elements in units of N (M and N are integers equal to or larger than two) bits. The phase shifting control circuits control phase shifting of the phase shifters. The feeding unit is arranged to be coupled to each of the radiating elements.

Phased-array antenna apparatus

A wavegide hybrid junction includes a coupling section, a coupling hole, and an external cavity resonator. The coupling section is formed by removing by a predetermined length part of a common narrow side wall for isolating two rectangular waveguides. The coupling hole is formed in the upper wall of a waveguide so as to communicate with the coupling section. The external cavity resonator externally cover the coupling hole.

In an earth station terminal, a cascaded arrangement of downlink half- and quarter-wave polarizers receives a downlink communication signal and a mono-polarized beacon signal from a communications satellite and separates the communication signal into respective polarization components. A receiver is connected to the cascaded polarizers for detecting the in-phase and orthogonal-phase components of a cross-polarization of the beacon signal with respect to the phase of its copolarization. For cross polarization compensation, first and second polarization offset values of the beacon signal are derived from the angular positions of the polarizers, and subtracted from the beacon's in-phase and orthogonal-phase components, respectively, to produce target values. By controlling the polarizers until their angular positions are respectively equal to the target values, the polarization components of the downlink communication signal assume zero vectors.
