A polyester amide compound having a polycarboxylic acid unit in an amount of 25 to 50 mol %, the polycarboxylic acid unit containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid unit represented by the following formula (I) in an amount of 70 mol % or more; a polyhydric alcohol unit in an amount of 25 to 50 mol %, the polyhydric alcohol unit containing an aliphatic diol unit represented by the following formula (II) in an amount of 70 mol % or more; and a structural unit represented by the following formula (III) in an amount of 0.1 to 50 mol %: wherein, in formula (I), Ar represents an arylene group; in formula (II), X represents a C2 to C20 alkylene group; and in formula (III), R represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.

Polyester amide compound

A polyamide compound containing: from 25 to 50 mol % of a diamine unit, which contains an aromatic diamine unit represented by the following formula (I), in an amount of 50 mol % or more; from 25 to 50 mol % of a dicarboxylic acid unit, which contains a linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit represented by the following formula (II-1) and/or an aromatic dicarboxylic acid unit represented by the following formula (II-2), in an amount in total of 50 mol % or more; and from 0.1 to 50 mol % of a constitutional unit represented by the following formula (III): wherein n represents an integer of from 2 to 18, Ar represents an arylene group, and R represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.

Polyamide compound

A polyamide compound containing from 0.1 to 50 mol % of a diamine unit that contains at least 50 mol % of a linear aliphatic diamine unit represented by the following general formula (I), from 0.1 to 50 mol % of a dicarboxylic acid unit that contains a linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit represented by the following general formula (II-1) and/or an aromatic dicarboxylic acid unit represented by the following general formula (II-2) in an amount of at least 50 mol % in total, and from 0.1 to 50 mol % of a constituent unit represented by the following general formula (III): [In the above-mentioned general formulae (I) and (II-1), m and n each independently indicate an integer of from 2 to 18. Provided are a resin composition which is colored little and has excellent gas barrier properties, transparency and mechanical properties, a method for producing it, and a shaped article. The composition is a polyester resin composition comprising from 2 to 30% by weight of a specific polyamide resin (A), from 69.5 to 97.99% by weight of a specific polyester resin (B) and from 0.01 to 0.5% by weight of a di- and/or tri-polycarboxylic acid compound (c), which satisfies a&#x2266;b, 60 &#x2266;a+b&#x2266;150, 1&#x2266;c&#xd7;Cc&#x2266;20, 1&#x2266;c&#xd7;Cc/(a&#xd7;Ca)&#x2266;12 (wherein a is a concentration of the terminal amino group of the polyamide resin (A), b is a concentration of the terminal carboxyl group of the polyamide resin (A), c is a concentration of the carboxyl group in the polycarboxylic acid compound (C), Cc is a concentration of the polycarboxylic acid compound (C) in the polyester resin composition, and Ca is a concentration of the polyamide resin (A) in the polyester resin composition (g/g). The method is for producing the resin composition; and the shaped article is obtained by shaping the resin composition.
