There is provided an electronic control unit including: input terminals connected to output terminals of a magneto generator driven by an engine; DC output terminals; a control power supply circuit that converts an AC voltage input between the input terminals into a DC voltage equal to a set value; and a microprocessor that controls electrical components of the engine, wherein the electronic control unit further includes an interruption signal generation circuit that compares an output voltage of the control power supply circuit with a certain abnormality determination voltage and generates an interruption signal when the output voltage of the control power supply circuit becomes the abnormality determination voltage or less, and an abnormality state storage unit for storing that an abnormality occurs in a power supply portion when the interruption signal is generated.

Electronic control unit

A power supply device comprises: a voltage converting portion that converts a voltage generated from a power supply portion into an output voltage to be supplied to a load; a voltage divider circuit that generates an output voltage setting signal for providing a set value of the output voltage; a set value changeover portion that turns on/off set value changeover switches to change a voltage divider ratio of the voltage divider circuit to change the set value; a storage device that stores a state appropriate for each set value changeover switch for keeping the value of the output voltage within a specified range; a set value changeover switch control portion that controls the set value changeover switches so as to bring each set value changeover switch into a state as stored in the storage device when the voltage is supplied from the voltage converting portion to the load; and an output voltage control portion that controls the voltage converting portion so as to make zero a deviation between the value of the output voltage and the set value.

Power supply device

An engine control system for controlling an engine into which fuel is supplied from a fuel supply system and which is ignited by an ignition system, the engine control system comprising: a detonation detecting device for detecting detonation of said engine; a judgment level setting device for setting a judgment level for judging whether detonation, which requires to be controlled, occurs; an enrich controlling device for controlling the fuel supply system so as to vary, to a rich-side, air-fuel ratio of air-fuel mixture being supplied to the engine for controlling the detonation when a level of an output signal of the detonation detecting device is equal to or more that the judgment level; and an ignition controlling device for controlling the ignition system so as to intermittently stop an ignition operation of the engine when the detonation can not be controlled by the enrich controlling device.

An ignition control device for a two-cycle internal combustion engine that controls an ignition timing for inhibiting detonation while inhibiting an increase in an exhaust pipe temperature, including: map storing means for storing a map that provides a relationship among a throttle valve opening degree and a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine and a delay side allowable limit ignition timing, which is a limit ignition timing on a delay side of the internal combustion engine when the exhaust pipe temperature of the internal combustion engine reaches an allowable upper limit value; arithmetical operation means for arithmetically operating the limit ignition timing by searching the map with respect to the throttle valve opening degree and the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine; and ignition operation stopping means for stopping an ignition operation of the internal combustion engine when an ignition timing of the internal combustion engine is further delayed from the limit ignition timing.

Ignition control method and ignition control device for two-cycle internal combustion engine

A fuel injection control system of a two-cycle in-cylinder direct injection engine, wherein: in a low speed area, an injection of fuel is started immediately after a scavenging port of the engine has been closed, and all fuel is injected during the time when an exhaust port is opened to stabilize an idling operation of the engine; in a middle speed area, fuel is injected even for a period of time deviated from a period between a timing of closure of the scavenging port and a timing of closure of the exhaust port; and in a high speed area, a timing of start of the fuel injection is advanced with an increase of a rotational speed of the engine thereby to inject a required quantity of fuel.

Fuel direct injection type two cycle internal combustion engine

An injector drive circuit capable of driving an injector of an internal combustion engine without using a DC-DC converter expensive. The injector drive circuit includes a power circuit for converting a voltage outputted from a magneto mounted on the engine into a DC voltage, a capacitor charged with a voltage accumulated in a voltage accumulator, a drive current feed circuit for applying a voltage across the capacitor to a solenoid coil to feed a drive current to the solenoid coil when it is fed with an injection command signal, and a holding current feed power supply section for feeding the solenoid coil with a holding current required for keeping a valve open after the drive current fed from the capacitor to the solenoid coil passes a peak value.

Injector drive circuit

A fuel pump drive apparatus for a fuel injection equipment for an internal combustion engine capable of satisfactorily driving a fuel pump for a fuel injection equipment without being affected by a variation in a voltage across a battery. A magneto driven by the internal combustion engine is provided with a battery charging coil and a pump drive coil. An output of the pump drive coil is fed to a pump drive motor through a pump drive circuit including a voltage regulator. A diode is connected between a positive output terminal of a battery charging circuit and a positive output terminal of a pump drive circuit, so that a current is fed from the battery through the diode to the pump drive motor only when a voltage across the battery is higher than an output voltage of the pump drive circuit. The voltage regulator of the pump drive circuit has an adjustment value set to be higher than a maximum value of the voltage across the battery.

Fuel pump drive apparatus for fuel injection equipment for internal

A marine power device capable of preventing a failure in actuation of constantly-driven loads required to be constantly actuated for continuing operation of an internal combustion engine, when various loads are actuated using both a magneto driven by the engine and a battery driven by the magneto as a power supply in a ship in which an outboard motor is used as a propelling equipment. The device includes a switch which functions to separate occasionally-driven loads increased in power consumption and the battery from the magneto when the battery is reduced in output voltage thereof to a level of failing to actuate the constantly-driven loads due to connection of the occasionally-driven loads to the battery or overdischarge of the battery. The switch is arranged at a position which does not affect flowing of a drive current fed from the magneto to the constantly-driven loads.

Marine power device

A boosting switch circuit is constituted by a plurality of MOSFETs of which drains are respectively connected to a plurality of output terminals of an AC magneto and sources are connected to each other or together. The MOSFETs each have a parasitic diode in a drain-source circuit thereof. The parasitic diodes and a plurality of rectification diodes are subjected to bridge connection, to thereby provide a rectifying circuit for rectifying an AC output voltage of the AC magneto. The MOSFETs are fed at a gate thereof with a drive signal of a rectangular waveform, resulting in being concurrently subjected to on-off operation. This permits the output voltage of the AC magneto to be boosted and then rectified through the rectifying circuit. The output voltage thus boosted and rectified is then fed to a load.

Power device for internal combustion engine

A power device for an internal combustion engine is disclosed, which includes a rectification power section equipped with a voltage regulator and using an AC magneto driven by the internal combustion engine as a power supply therefor, a switch circuit including at least one MOSFET acting as a switching element and adapted to carry out short circuit between output terminals of the AC magneto, and an FET control circuit for repeatedly subjecting the MOSFET to on-off operation when an output voltage of the rectification power section is at a set level or below and keeping the MOSFET turned off when the output voltage exceeds the set level. The MOSFET is subjected to on-off operation during a low speed operation of the internal combustion engine to boost an output voltage of the AC magneto, to thereby provide a voltage for driving a load. On-off operation of the MOSFET is interrupted when an output voltage of the rectification power section exceeds the set level, so that loss due to switching of the MOSFET is reduced.

A fuel injection system wherein a microcomputer carries out an operation of a fuel injection period using a generator mounted on an internal combustion engine as a power supply is provided, which is capable of preventing excessive feeding of fuel to the engine during restarting of the engine to ensure smooth restarting of the engine. The fuel injection system includes a charge storing circuit for carrying out charging of a charge storage element during initial starting of the engine, a discharge circuit for permitting discharge of the charge storage element to be carried out over a long period of time, and a signal generating circuit for generating an initial starting signal when the amount of charges in the charge storage element is below a predetermined level and a restarting signal when the amount reaches the predetermined level or more. Where the restarting signal has been generated at the time when the microcomputer starts to operate, it executes an operation of a fuel injection period which provides a fuel injection rate suitable for the restarting.

Fuel injection system for internal combustion engine

A fuel injection equipment including a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a fuel injected space of an internal combustion engine and a fuel pump is disclosed. A generator which is driven by the internal combustion engine and has characteristics of being increased in output voltage or output current with an increase in engine rotation speed is used as any one of an injector driving power supply for feeding the fuel injector with an exciting current through an injector trigger circuit and a fuel pump driving power supply. Use of the generator as the power supply permits the fuel injection equipment to be controlled without requiring a complicated control circuit.
