A passenger seatfor an aircraft, including a seat bottom frame, a backrest frameand a headrest framethat constitute a reclining assembly, which are supported by a spreaderand pipesandfastened to a floor by seat track fittings, the pipesandpassing through left and right legs. A direct-acting-type damperis attached to the backrest frame, and an extension memberis attached to the headrest frame, whereby a structural design is provided in which the reclining assembly, the direct-acting-type damper and the extension member can be easily replaced.

Passenger seat for aircraft

In order to improve ease of maintenance of an aircraft passenger seat, the aircraft passenger seatis adapted to be changeable between an upright position and a bed mode position at which the backrest is folded forward. A mechanism for locking the seat at each of the positions is provided with lock pinsprovided on both sides of the backrest, a handle unitmounted to a rear face of the backrest, and two wiresfor connecting the handle unitand the lock pins. A structure for connecting the wiresto the handle unitis improved to facilitate the maintenance of the wires and to make the handle unit lightweight.
