A vehicle manipulation device is configured to control a vehicle by wirelessly communicating with a communication device in the vehicle, and includes a touch panel, a detection unit, and a request unit. The detection unit is configured to detect an input manipulation of a user with respect to the touch panel. The request unit is configured to transmit a control request for causing the vehicle to perform a first operation to the communication device in response to detection of an input manipulation in a first aspect, the first operation being any one of locking and unlocking of the vehicle, and transmit a control request for causing the vehicle to perform a second operation to the communication device in response to detection of an input manipulation in a second aspect different from the first aspect, the second operation including an operation different from locking and unlocking of the vehicle.

A key unit that locks and unlocks a target by transmitting a signal to a locking and unlocking device, includes: a substrate on which a power supply circuit and a reception circuit that receives a request signal transmitted in a first frequency band from the locking and unlocking device via a reception antenna are mounted; and a housing configured to accommodate the substrate. Among parts associated with the power supply circuit, a part having the highest height from a substrate surface is mounted on a first surface of the substrate. The reception antenna is mounted on a second surface. When the substrate is accommodated in the housing, a distance from a substrate surface of the second surface to an inner surface of the housing is shorter than a distance from the substrate surface of the first surface to the inner surface of the housing.

Key unit

A wireless communication system includes: a locking and unlocking device configured to control locking and unlocking of a target, the locking and unlocking device including a device-side communication module configured to communicate a first signal having a first frequency band; and a key unit configured to command the locking and unlocking of the target by communicating with the locking and unlocking device. The key unit includes a unit-side communication module that communicates the first signal. The key unit is installed in the target such that a distance between the unit-side communication module and the device-side communication module is within a predetermined distance at which communication between the unit-side communication module and the device-side communication module is possible and that an axis of the unit-side antenna coil of the unit-side communication module is parallel to the axis of the device-side antenna coil.

Wireless communication system

A key unit authenticates a portable terminal based on information acquired from the portable terminal and controls locking and unlocking of a target by transmitting a signal to a locking and unlocking device. The key unit includes: a first communication unit configured to receive a request signal transmitted in a first frequency band from the locking and unlocking device; a controller configured to authenticate the portable terminal and process signals transmitted to and received from the locking and unlocking device; a second communication unit configured to perform short-range wireless communication with the portable terminal in a second frequency band; and a substrate on which the first communication unit, the controller, and the second communication unit are mounted. The first communication unit and the second communication unit are mounted at positions facing each other across the controller, on the substrate.

Key unit and vehicle having key unit

A key unit includes: a first communication module; a second communication module; an authentication unit configured to perform authentication using authentication information when an operation request including the authentication information has been received via the first communication module; and a control unit configured to perform locking and unlocking with a key in response to the operation request when the authentication using the authentication information has succeeded and to transmit a control signal for performing an operation other than the locking and unlocking with the key to the control device via the second communication module after the authentication.

An onboard device includes a storage unit configured to store a control program for controlling the onboard device and a communication unit configured to perform data communication with a mobile terminal. The communication unit performs data communication of a rewriting program with the mobile terminal when the communication unit has received a rewriting notification signal indicating rewriting of the control program stored from the mobile terminal and the vehicle is in a chargeable state in which the battery is able to be charged by the power generator. The communication unit does not perform data communication of the rewriting program with the mobile terminal when the vehicle is not in the chargeable state.

A key unit includes a control unit configured to control locking and unlocking of an object by performing radio communication with a locking/unlocking device. A first control circuit (), which has a first analog-to-digital converter at the input stage thereof, generates an amount of time, which is a first control amount, on the basis of sampling information for a controlled object, and applies an operation initiation signal to a second control circuit () when a period of time, lasting for the first control amount, has passed from a prescribed reference time. After the operation initiation signal has been input, the second control circuit (), which has a second analog-to-digital converter at the input stage thereof, generates an amount of time, which is a second control amount, on the basis of sampling information for the controlled object, and outputs a switch-switching signal when a period of time, lasting for the second control amount, has passed from the time the operation initiation signal was input.
