In a magnetic tape apparatus, a cylinder motor and a capstan motor are provided separately. A family processing is realized by fabricating a stator core of the capstan motor by using the same die which is used for fabricating a stator core of the cylinder motor. Each of attachment pieces is fitted into the corresponding one of recess portions provided at a flange-shaped attachment portion of a bearing holder and the inner end of the attachment piece is engaged with a rib provided at the flange-shaped attachment portion. The inner end portion of the attachment piece is screwed with the flange-shaped attachment portion.

Magnetic tape apparatus with capstan motor configuration

A pinch roller device is provided wherein an elastic cylindrical roller is fitted over a cylindrical holder in the inner wall of which are formed a small hole and a large hole b 1 wherein a bearing is fitted in the large hole and a bearing stopper sleeve is pressed into the large hole so that the bearing can be rotatably fitted over a roller shaft.

Pinch roller device

A pinch roller is rotatably provided around a roller shaft by way of a bearing member and abutted against a capstan roller by way of a magnetic tape to rotatively drive the capstan roller, thereby causing the magnetic tape to run. The bearing member has a groove portion formed on a longitudinal center portion of an outer periphery thereof so as to form flange portions abutting against an inner periphery of the roller member in both longitudinal sides of the groove portion. The diameter of portions of the inner periphery of the bearing member where oppose to the flange portions are enlarged than the diameter of a portion where opposes to the groove portion.

Pinch roller bearing structure for magnetic tape apparatus

A device for exchanging a tape drive mode so to maintain a satisfied timing by which a tension mechanism for applying a tension to a tape between tape reels is kept to its tension place until the tape transport by a capstan roller together with a pinch roller is exerted after the power transmission is exchanged to either one of the tape reels for shifting the device from the playing/recording mode to the rewinding mode.
