A photocurable resin composition which can improve adhesion between light transmitting members. The photocurable resin composition contains a monofunctional acrylic monomer having a heating residue of 85.0% or less after being heated at 60&#xb0; C. for 30 minutes, a crosslinking agent, a photopolymerization initiator, and a softening agent composed of at least one of plasticizer and tackifier, and the heating residue after being heated at 60&#xb0; C. for 30 minutes is less than 96.0%.

Photocurable resin composition

A liquid photocurable resin composition not containing a thermal polymerization initiator is applied to a surface of a light-transmitting cover member having a light-shielding layer or a surface of an image display member, irradiated with ultraviolet rays under an atmosphere where the oxygen concentration is significantly decreased and cured, to form a light-transmitting cured resin layer. Subsequently, the image display member and the light-transmitting cover member are stacked through the light-transmitting cured resin layer to manufacture an image display device of the present invention.

Method for manufacturing image display device

A UV-photocured resin layer (and an image display device including the UV-photocured resin layer), the UV-photocured resin layer including the following cured components: an acrylate-based oligomer component selected from the group consisting of a polyisoprene-based (meth)acrylate oligomer, a polybutadiene-based (meth)acrylate oligomer, and a polyurethane-based (meth)acrylate oligomer; an acrylic-based monomer component; a plasticizer component; and a photoradical polymerization initiator component.

UV-photocured resin layer and image display device using the same

A method for manufacturing an optical member which can improve bonding properties between a first member having a light transmitting property and a second member. The method includes a precuring step of forming a photocuring precured resin layer on a surface of the first member or the second member, the photocuring precured resin layer having a thin film on a side to be bonded with the second member or the first member, a bonding step of bonding the first member and the second member via the precured resin layer, and a final curing step of final-curing the precured resin layer to form a light transmitting resin layer. It is thereby possible to reduce the elastic modulus of the precured resin layer, suppress protrusion during bonding, and improve bonding properties.

Method for manufacturing optical member

A UV-photocured resin layer (and an image display device including the UV-photocured resin layer), the UV-photocured resin layer including the following cured components: an acrylate-based oligomer component selected from the group consisting of a polyisoprene-based (meth)acrylate oligomer, a polybutadiene-based (meth)acrylate oligomer, and a polyurethane-based (meth)acrylate oligomer; an acrylic-based monomer component including octyl acrylate or isobornyl acrylate; a plasticizer component; and a photoradical polymerization initiator component.

A photocurable resin composition contains an acrylate-based oligomer component as component (a), an acrylic-based monomer component as component (b), a plasticizer component as component (c), and a photopolymerization initiator component as component (d). The total amount of the component (a) and the component (b) contained in the photocurable resin composition is 25 to 80% by mass, and the amount of the plasticizer component as the component (c) contained in the photocurable resin composition is 65 to 10% by mass. The component (c) contains a solid tackifier and a liquid plasticizing component, and the mass ratio of the tackifier to the liquid plasticizing component is in the range of 60 to 30 : 30 to 10.
