To provide a fuel injection device for controlling a fuel injection valve including a solenoid and a magnetostrictive element to generate a drive force for driving the fuel injection valve, the fuel injection device including: a solenoid power source () for driving the solenoid, a solenoid drive circuit () adapted to control the electrification to the solenoid by the solenoid power source (), a plurality of magnetostrictive element driving power sources () for driving the magnetostrictive element, and a magnetostrictive element drive circuit () adapted to control the electrification to a magnetostrictive coil of the magnetostrictive element by the magnetostrictive element driving power sources. Since the plurality of the magnetostrictive element driving power sources can be respectively used when performing a valve-opening operation and when performing a valve-closing operation of the fuel injection valve of the fuel injection device, the opening/closing operation of the fuel injection valve of the fuel injection device can be properly performed.

A drive system for a brushless motor. The brushless motor includes a rotor having opposite magnetic poles on its periphery, and a stator facing the rotor. The stator has, for example, three interconnected coils at equal angular intervals. The drive system includes a memory for storing drive data which represent drive currents supplied to the respective coils at each angular position of the rotor. The drive system also includes a controller for reading those drive data which best match a target angular position of the rotor, from the memory. The controller generates drive signals based on the drive data. The drive system also includes a drive circuit for supplying the drive currents to the respective coils, based on the drive signals, respectively. The drive system can precisely control the angular position of the brushless motor.

Apparatus and method for driving a brushless motor

A system for controlling a vehicle power sliding door having a motor supplied voltage from a power source mounted on the vehicle for opening or closing the power sliding door and a motor drive circuit for driving the motor with relays for switching direction of rotation of the motor and a FET for regulating the voltage to be supplied to the motor to change a speed of the motor rotation. In the system, a motor-drive-circuit controller is provided for outputting a command value to the motor drive circuit, thereby enabling to control the direction of rotation of a power sliding door drive motor to effect opening and closing of the power sliding door with minimal total heat loss of semiconductor devices and that, by utilizing PWM control for varying motor rotational speed, lowers product cost by decreasing the size, weight and total number of components of the power sliding door unit. In addition, the faulty operation of the controller is also detected.
