Provided is a method for preventing improper reuse of a traveling battery mounted on a vehicle. The vehicle includes a battery module, an electronic control unit, and an impact detection sensor. The battery module includes battery cells that are stacked together. The electronic control unit is capable of controlling a voltage of each of the battery cells of the battery module, using an auxiliary battery as a drive power supply. The impact detection sensor is configured to detect a magnitude of an impact to be applied to the vehicle. The method for preventing reuse of the traveling battery includes causing the electronic control unit to perform low-voltage-control exclusively on one of the battery cells that is selected in advance in a case where the magnitude of the impact detected by the impact detection sensor is a predetermined value or greater.

Method for preventing reuse of traveling battery for vehicle

A battery state notification apparatus for an electric vehicle includes a collision detector, an electric leakage detector, a surrounding condition detector, a vehicle exterior sounding device, and a battery state notification device. The collision detector detects a collision of the electric vehicle. The electric leakage detector detects a state of the electric leakage from the drive battery. The surrounding condition detector detects a surrounding condition including the presence of a person around the electric vehicle. The vehicle exterior sounding device outputs a sound to the outside of the electric vehicle. The battery state notification device causes the vehicle exterior sounding device to make notification about the state of electric leakage from the drive battery in a case where the collision detector detects the collision of the electric vehicle and where the surrounding condition detector detects the presence of the person around the electric vehicle.

A junction box controller controls a junction box including a circuit for vehicle travel that supplies power from a battery for vehicle travel to an electrical component for vehicle travel and a charging circuit including a positive electrode charging relay and an negative electrode charging relay that are for use in coupling and decoupling the battery for vehicle travel to and from an external charging power source in a state in which the positive electrode charging relay and the negative electrode charging relay are coupled to the circuit for vehicle travel. The junction box controller includes a temperature sensor that detects a temperature of the circuit for vehicle travel, and a controller that, when the temperature of the circuit for vehicle travel reaches or exceeds a preset threshold, controls and switches on either one of the positive electrode charging relay and the negative electrode charging relay.

An electric vehicle includes: a low-voltage battery, a high-voltage battery having a voltage higher than that of the low-voltage battery; an output detector that detects an output of the low-voltage battery; a collision detector that detects a vehicle collision, an information recorder to which the low-voltage battery is connected as a power supply and which records collision information from the collision detector; a power supply relay unit that is provided between the high-voltage battery and the information recorder and switched between an opened state in which the high-voltage battery and the information recorder are separated and a closed state in which that are connected; and a controller that switches the power supply relay unit from the opened state to the closed state in the case when a vehicle collision a reduction in the output of the low-voltage battery are detected.

A vehicle approach informing device includes: an informing sound output unit to output informing sound for informing to a pedestrian outside a vehicle that the vehicle is approaching when a predetermined condition is satisfied; a sound volume control unit to control the volume of the informing sound outputted by the informing sound output unit; and a shield detection unit to detect a shield present on any side ahead in a running direction of the vehicle. When a shield is detected by the shield detection unit, the sound volume control unit reduces the volume of the informing sound which is outputted by the informing sound output unit.
