In mobile robot that runs from first flat surface which is a magnetic body to second flat surface which is a magnetic body and intersects the first flat surface, the mobile robot includes a pair of driving wheels which is rotatably supported to robot body and includes permanent magnets on outer circumferential surfaces thereof; driving mechanism which drives the pair of driving wheels to be independently rotated; rear wheel which is rotatably supported to the robot body and includes permanent magnets on an outer circumferential surface thereof; distance sensor which acquires a distance to the second flat surface; and pressing out mechanisms which include pressing out members which are movable between contact position at which the pressing out member can be in contact with the first flat surface and retracted position at which the pressing out member is retracted from the first flat surface. The pressing out member is moved from the retracted position to the contact position to be in contact with the first flat surface by the pressing out mechanism, the driving wheels is separated from the first flat surface, and the driving wheels move from the first flat surface to the second flat surface, when the distance sensor detects that the driving wheels are in contact with the second flat surface.

Mobile robot

A vane pump includes a casing and a rotary unit rotatably held within the casing. The rotary unit includes a base portion with radially outwardly opened slits extending radially with respect to a rotational axis of the rotary unit and vanes slidably fitted in the respective slits. An annular chamber is formed around the base portion within the casing and divided into a plurality of pump chambers by the vanes. Each of the pump chambers has a volume cyclically expanded and contracted during rotation of the rotary unit to discharge the fluid drawn into each of the pump chambers. The casing includes an inlet port through which to draw the fluid into the annular chamber. The inlet port is arranged to face a portion of the annular chamber extending between a middle position and a terminating position of an expanding section in which each of the pump chambers expands.

Vane pump

A piezoelectric-driven diaphragm pump is comprised of a driving unit () having a driving diaphragm () and a first housing (), a replaceable driven unit () having a driven film () and a second housing (), and a fixing unit () for fixing the driven unit () to the driving unit (). A vibration transmitting face () of the driving diaphragm () from which displacement of the driving diaphragm () is transmitted to the driven film () and a vibration transmitted face () of the driven film () to which the displacement of the driving diaphragm is transmitted are not parallel to a reference plane () of the first housing () which faces the second housing (), and the vibration transmitting face () of the driving diaphragm () contacts with entire of the vibration transmitted face () of the driven film (). Thereby, the displacement of the driving diaphragm () is efficiently transmitted to the driven film (), so that a capacity of a pump room () can be varied largely.

Piezoelectric-driven diaphragm pump

In a liquid discharge control apparatus which uses a piezoelectric type diaphragm pump, an accumulator having a liquid accumulation cavity and a movable member is communicated to an outlet of the diaphragm pump. In discharge operation of the diaphragm pump, a quantity of the liquid in the liquid accumulation cavity is rapidly increased, and the movable member is elastically deformed so as to increase of the volume of the liquid accumulation cavity. Alternatively, in suction operation, when a back stream of the liquid occurs, the quantity of the liquid in a path communicated to the outlet of the diaphragm pump is decreased due to the back stream. The decrease of the liquid can be compensated by the decrease of the volume of the liquid accumulation cavity of the accumulator. Thereby, variation of the quantity of the liquid discharged from the outlet of the accumulator is reduced and the liquid can be discharged, smoothly.

A vane pump includes a rotor chamber; a rotor eccentrically accommodated in the rotor chamber; a plurality of vanes attached to the rotor, each vane having a leading end adapted to make sliding contact with an inner peripheral surface of the rotor chamber. The vane pump includes working compartments surrounded by inner surfaces of the rotor chamber, an outer peripheral surface of the rotor, and the vanes; an inlet port through which a working fluid is drawn into a working compartment; and an outlet port through which the working fluid is discharged from a working compartment. An engaging portion is formed in a peripheral end portion of a thrust surface of the rotor and an engaged portion with which the engaging portion engages in a non-contact state is formed in an inner surface region of the rotor chamber facing the thrust surface of the rotor in a non-contact state.

A vane pump includes a rotor chamber; a rotor accommodated in the rotor chamber; a plurality of vanes attached to the rotor, each vane having a leading end adapted to make sliding contact with an inner peripheral surface of the rotor chamber. The vane pump includes working compartments surrounded by inner surfaces of the rotor chamber, an outer peripheral surface of the rotor and the vanes; an inlet port through which a working fluid is drawn into a working compartment; and an outlet port through which the working fluid is discharged from a working compartment. A cutout portion is formed in a leading end portion of each vane on each of at least one of a leading and a trailing side of the leading end portion, the leading end of each vane having a width smaller than that of a base end portion of each vane.

A configuration for forming a gastight space is prevented from being projected from a housing, so that a projection is not formed on the housing. A sealed contact device includes a housing including a container body having an open end portion, the container body being made of ceramic, a metal lid connected to the open end portion to form a gastight space, a stationary contact and a movable contact disposed in the container body, and a sealed vent portion formed in the metal lid, in which the sealed vent portion is formed by sealing a vent hole formed in the metal lid after exhausting a gas in the gastight space and supplying a desired gas into the gastight space, via the vent hole.
