A connecting structure for attaching a wall-mount fixture to an external portion of a display device includes a fastening member. The fastening member is integrally formed as a one-piece, unitary member. The fastening member includes a receiving part, and first and second bent parts that extend from the receiving part, the first bent part having a first end plate with a threaded hole, the second bent part having a second end plate with a screw insertion hole, the first and second end plates overlapping with respect to each other and facing with the receiving part. The receiving part is configured and arranged to receive a distal end of a screw that extends through the insertion hole of the second end plate and is screwed into the threaded hole of the first end plate such that the screw is prevented from being screwed beyond the receiving part.

An electrical device includes a rear chassis, a fastening member, and an attachment member. The rear chassis has a through-hole. The fastening member is disposed inside the rear chassis. The fastening member has a threaded hole. The attachment member retains the fastening member relative to the rear chassis. The attachment member has a first engaging part that engages with an internal portion of the rear chassis. The screw extends through the through-hole of the rear chassis and screwed into the threaded hole of the fastening member for attaching a wall-mount fixture to an external portion of the rear chassis.

In a display device cabinet, a fixing assembly to join a front panel and a rear panel include a first fixing mechanism that uses attachment screws and a second fixing mechanism that uses no attachment screws, which have a structure that prevents the application of excessive force to engaging openings and protrusions during the assembly process and disassembly process. The second fixing mechanism includes protrusions on an edge frame of the front panel, a mating piece provided on the rear panel, engaging openings provided in the mating piece, and rib-shaped plates defining stopper elements between the edge frame and the outer frame of the display module. The stopper elements prevent the protrusions from slipping out of the engaging openings by contacting the outer frame. The stopper elements are shaped to prevent interference between the stopper elements and the outer frame during cabinet assembly.

This invention relates to a stand attachment structure for attaching a stand that supports a low-profile display unit, such as a liquid crystal display, in an upright position, and to a rear cabinet. In the rear cabinet (), a stand mounting part () including a temporal fixing means () is provided to allow temporal fixation of a stand () to the rear cabinet (). The stand mounting part () includes a hook () for retaining the stand () in a predetermined orientation, and a reinforcing rib () having functions of reinforcing the hook and of guiding an engagement tab () disposed on the stand () for insertion. Then, the stand () is temporarily fixed to a display unit (P) by engaging the engagement tab () disposed on the stand () with the hook (), and finally secured to the display unit (P) with a set screw (B) after temporal fixing.
