An aqueous emulsion composition comprising (A) an aqueous resin emulsion comprising a fluorine-containing polymer and (B) a surfactant of the formula:RO&#x2014;(CHCHO)&#x2014;(RO)&#x2014;R&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)wherein Ris an alkyl group or an alkenyl group, Ris an alkylene group, Ris a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkenyl group, p is the number of at least 2, q is the number of at least 1, and p and q are such numbers that the weight ratio of the polyoxyethylene block is from 5 to 80% by weight based on whole molecule, is excellent in stability against impurity and mechanical stability.

Aqueous emulsion composition

Disclosed is an aqueous liquid dispersion of water and oil repellent agent containing surfactants wherein there are contained (I) a homopolymer or copolymer of at least one polymerizable compound having a perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkenyl group and an acrylate, methacrylate or alpha-substituted acrylate group, or a copolymer of such a polymerizable compound with another copolymerizable compound which is copolymerizable with such a polymerizable compound, and (II) three nonionic surfactants, namely (a) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of less than 12, (b) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of not less than 12 and less than 17, and (c) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of not less than 17. Such an aqueous liquid dispersion of a water and oil repellent agent containing surfactants is excellent in shelf life stability and dilution stability, and provides high water and oil repellency to an object.

Aqueous liquid dispersion of water and oil repellent agent containing nonionic surfactant

An aqueous water- and oil-repellent dispersion containing: (A) a homopolymer or copolymer containing at least one polymerizable compound having a perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkenyl group and an acrylate or methacrylate group, or a copolymer containing said polymerizable compound and another compound copolymerizable therewith, (B) a surfactant comprising a cationic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant comprising an alkylene oxide adduct of a higher aliphatic secondary alcohol, and (C) a high flash-point organic solvent, has durable water- and oil-repellency and excellent storage stability.

Aqueous water-and oil-repellent dispersion

Provided is an aqueous water- and oil-repellent dispersion free of an organic solvent and having durable water- and oil-repellency and excellent storage stability. The aqueous water- and oil-repellent dispersion is produced by emulsifying a perfluoroalkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate copolymer with the use of an ionic surfactant and/or a nonionic surfactant having less than 8 mol of added ethylene oxide per one hydrophobic group so that an average particle diameter is at most 100 nm and an integrating sphere turbidity is at most 20 (kaolin); adding, before the polymerization, a surfactant having at least 8 mol of added ethylene oxide per one hydrophobic group and a protective colloid; and conducting the polymerization.

Aqueous dispersion of water-  and oil-repellent and process for the production thereof

An aqueous water- and oil-repellent dispersion containing: (A) a homopolymer or copolymer containing at least one polymerizable compound having a perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkenyl group and an acrylate or methacrylate group, or a copolymer containing said polymerizable compound and another compound copolymerizable therewith, (B) an organic solvent which is tripropylene glycol, and (C) a surfactant, has durable water- and oil-repellency and excellent storage stability.

A water-repellent composition for foaming process of a hydrophobic textile, comprising (A) a dispersion of a fluorine-containing polymer, (B) a foaming agent, and (C) a wetting agent is suitable for water-repellent treatment of the hydrophobic textile and can give easy generation of sufficient foaming.

An abherent composition which contains (A) a compound having C -C perfluoro-alkyl or alkenyl group, (B) polytetrafluoroethylene having a number-average molecular weight of at most 500,000, and (C) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a silicone oil, a silicone resin and a highly fluorinated compound having a boiling point of at least 100&deg; C. except those included in the components (A) and (B), is disclosed. This composition prevents various articles from adhering to each other and is suitable as a mold release agent, an anti-blocking agent, a stripping agent for an electrical wire and the like.
