An optical control device is provided that controls an angle of a reflecting member. The optical control device includes a holding portion, an actuator, an angle detection unit, and a control unit. The angle detection unit is provided at a position outside an outer shape of the actuator in an actuator holder on which the actuator is placed, and detects a rotation angle of the reflecting member. The control unit drives the actuator based on the angle detected by the angle detection unit, and controls the rotation angle of the reflecting member.

Optical control device and head-up display apparatus including the same

An ultrasonic motor is provided that includes a stator having a vibrator and first to fourth piezoelectric elements, a rotor, and a wiring member including an insulating substrate and first and second wirings. The piezoelectric elements are dispersedly arranged along the circumferential direction of a traveling wave circulating around an axial direction so that the traveling wave is generated by the vibrator being vibrated. The first and third piezoelectric elements face each other across the center of a traveling wave. The first wiring is electrically connected to the first and third piezoelectric elements, and the second wiring is electrically connected to the second and fourth piezoelectric elements. The second wiring passes over the third piezoelectric element from the second piezoelectric element side and extends toward the side of fourth piezoelectric element.

Ultrasonic motor with improved rotation efficiency

An ultrasonic motor is provided that includes a stator including first and second piezoelectric elements provided on a first main surface of a vibrator having a plate shape, a rotor in direct or indirect contact with a second main surface of the vibrator, and a wiring member connected to the first and second piezoelectric elements. Moreover, the wiring member includes first and second connection members connected to the first and second piezoelectric elements, a central wiring portion connected to the first and second connection members and provided in a region including a center of an axial direction, and an extended wiring portion connected to the central wiring portion. The central wiring portion is fixed to the first main surface of the vibrator and the extended wiring portion is lifted from the first main surface of the vibrator.

Ultrasonic motor with stabilized stator vibration

A vibrating gyro device includes a piezoelectric substrate, an upper main surface electrode, a lower main surface electrode, and a support substrate. The piezoelectric substrate is provided with inner open holes and outer open holes. Side edge surfaces of a frame-shaped region in the X-Y plane are exposed to the interior of the frame through the inner open holes. Side edge surfaces of the frame-shaped region are exposed to the exterior of the frame through the outer open holes. Drive detection electrodes arranged within the upper main surface electrode are bonded to the upper main surface of the frame-shaped region and together with the lower main surface electrode are electromechanically coupled with deformation of the frame-shaped region in the Z-axis direction and deformation of the frame-shaped region in a direction parallel or substantially parallel to the X-Y plane. The support substrate provides a vibration space for the frame-shaped region and supports the piezoelectric substrate. The vibration space prevents interference between the frame-shaped region and the support substrate and connects the inner open holes and the outer open holes.

An atomizing member that includes a piezoelectric vibrator and a vibrating membrane. The piezoelectric vibrator includes a cylindrical piezoelectric body, a first electrode disposed on an inner circumferential surface of the piezoelectric body, and a second electrode disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the piezoelectric body. The piezoelectric vibrator performs cylindrical breathing vibration. The vibrating membrane is disposed on an opening at a first side in an axial direction of the piezoelectric body so as to cover the opening. The vibrating membrane has a through hole in its central portion.

A small-sized piezoelectric power generation device is provided which can generate electric power even with vibrations at low frequencies. The piezoelectric power generation device includes a piezoelectric element formed in a spiral shape and having a center-side end fixed to a first fixing member and an outer-side end fixed to a second fixing member. The piezoelectric element includes a first piezoelectric body formed in a spiral shape and polarized in a radial direction of the piezoelectric element from one side toward the other side. The first and second fixing members are arranged such that the second fixing member is displaceable relative to the first fixing member in a tangential direction x, whereas the second fixing member is restricted from displacing relative to the first fixing member in a perpendicular direction y.
