A locking device for a trunk in a vehicle. The locking device includes a latch configured to change a state of the trunk between locked and unlocked, and a lever configured to drive the latch to an open position. The locking device further includes a lock knob configured to be disposed outward of a vehicle body to visually determine from an outside of the vehicle whether the trunk is in the locked state or the unlocked state. The lock knob is further configured to be selectively placed in a locked position. In the locked position, the trunk is configured to be brought into the locked state by prohibiting the latch from being driven to an open position. The lock knob is further configured to be selectively placed in an unlocked position. In the unlocked position, the trunk is configured to be brought into the unlocked state by enabling the latch to be driven to the open position. The locking device further includes an actuator for enabling the lock knob to be selectively placed in one of the locked position or the unlocked position. The locking device is configured to authenticate a portable key, when the lever is operated with the trunk in the locked state. When the portable key is authenticated, the lock knob is configured to be driven into the unlocked position.

Vehicle trunk locking device

A navigation device for a motorcycle operable in a comfortable position during driving by solving a problem that it is hard to operate the navigation device during driving and easily mounted on a vehicle by solving the problem that it is hard to mount the navigation device on the vehicle. The navigation device includes a navigation display section for displaying navigation information such as a destination and the current vehicle position, a control unit for controlling the navigation display section, and an operating section for performing an input operation to the control unit. The operating section is separated from the navigation display section and the operating section is disposed on the side of a vehicle body.

Motorcycle navigation device

An air bag module mounting structure is attached to a motorcycle. The air bag module mounting structure includes an air bag module mounted on a pair of right and left upper tubes that extend rearward from a head pipe of a frame of the motorcycle. The air bag module occupies the space between the right and left upper tubes.

A seat heating element and electronic temperature selector is provided for use in a motorcycle or other saddle-type vehicle, driven by an engine as a source of power. A vehicle seat is provided with first and second heating elements, and the temperature selector controls a supply of electric power to the heating elements, to warm up the vehicle seat. The control unit includes first and second electric relays for use in temporarily blocking power from the electric power source to the heating element, for a predetermined interval, upon detection of an accelerated state of the vehicle. The heating element and control system thereof improves acceleration performance of the vehicle, even when using an electric seat heating element, by temporarily interrupting electric power flow to the seat heating element during acceleration.

Electrically heated seat apparatus for a vehicle, vehicle incorporating same, and method of using same

A windshield mounting structure for vehicles in which a windshield as a sheet for protection from the wind is mounted between a vehicle body frame and a cowling attached at the front of the vehicle body frame. The cowling is attached to a retaining plate, which is rockably mounted on the vehicle body frame and positioned opposite to the front of the windshield. A operating lever is provided for pressing the retaining plate against the windshield to hold the windshield in a fixed position, and for releasing the retaining plate from the windshield so that the windshield height can be adjusted up or down. A ratchet mechanism is provided for supporting the windshield when it is released, and for adjusting the windshield to a desired position. This combination of elements and configuration provides for a structure that increases the freedom of design of the exterior components of the vehicle, particularly the cowling.

Windshield mounting structure for vehicles

A remote control type vehicular trunk is provided which includes a plurality of trunks each having a lid whereby the lids are locked and unlocked by a remote controller. The trunks have a pop-up device, which opens at least one of the lids in response to a predetermined remote control. The controller includes a first actuator for locking or unlocking each of the lids, and a second actuator for unlocking the at least one of the trunks provided with the pop-up device and actuating the pop-up device.
