There is provided an apparatus capable of switching between a laser that emits light having a wavelength suitable for detecting samples and a laser required for reading traced data, while an analysis optical disc is being traced. In an analyzer in which an analysis disc having a sample to be analyzed which is located in a part of its track is irradiated with laser light to read the state of the sample, a selector switch alternately selects a laser having a wavelength for reading data represented by bits or wobble grooves on the disc and a laser having a wavelength suitable for detecting a sample, in response to an instruction from a control unit.

It is an object of the present invention to provide an analysis apparatus which can achieve an image with a proper contrast even from an analysis object on an analysis optical disc. When an image is obtained from an analysis object, a control unit () switches a switch () in such a way that a detection signal of laser light has a constant average value, the laser light having been emitted to the analysis optical disc and reflected thereon or passed therethrough, and the control unit () feeds back the output signal of an integrating circuit () to an APC circuit () for controlling a laser drive circuit ().

An analysis apparatus capable of normally creating image data and an analysis disc used for this. Instead of using a signal which has been read in time series by pickup following a track so as to create an image by utilizing address information engraved on an optical disc, a mark () is recorded over the radius direction (A) of a read area () of the analysis disc () where an analysis object (B) is arranged, at least at a preceding position or a following position of the read area () in the rotation direction (C), so that video processing aligned according to this mark is executed, thereby executing video acquisition or a shape count with a high accuracy.

It is an object of the present invention to provide an analysis device which can reproduce an image of an analysis object more accurately even when an analysis disc is an optical disc having the analysis object therein. A second pickup () is provided for capturing and tracing a track on an analysis disc (), and a first pickup () is provided which is fixed at a constant distance (L) from the second pickup () on the disc. A signal identical to the tracking signal of the second pickup () is applied to a tracking actuator for driving the optical path of the first pickup () in the radial direction of the analysis disc. A part of an analysis object () is traced and read while the position of the second pickup () in the radial direction is controlled at times.
