Insert-bonded cylindrical articles, and a molding method and a molding apparatus therefor technical field to which the invention pertains

A separable laminated container (A) of the present invention comprises an outer layer () made of synthetic resin and having an air suction hole () and an inner layer () made of synthetic resin and separably laminated on the inside of the outer layer, the inner layer having a portion previously separated from the outer layer just around the air suction hole. The air suction hole can be formed by driving a punch into the outer layer at a neck () of the separable laminated container from the outside, and punching just the outer layer leaving the inner layer behind. The portion of the inner layer previously separated from the outer layer may be left in the inwardly extended state. The inner layer is preferably made of synthetic resin having flextural modules of less than 10,000 kg/cm.

Separable laminated container and associated technology

Cylindrical plastic pieces (i.e., preforms) each with a bottom are supplied one by one to jigs circulated through the heating and blowing mold of a biaxial-orientation blow-molding machine. The pieces are formed of polyethylene terephthalate material to obtain transparent thin-walled bottle-shaped containers, and are formed in cylindrical shape each with a semispherical bottom and a prefinished neck portion molded simultaneously in large number by an injection molding machine. The device for supplying the pieces has a piece aligning unit for temporarily retaining the pieces molded simultaneously by the injection molding machine and accumulated in various orientations at random and exhausting the pieces one by one therefrom to meet the molding velocity of a blow-molding machine, a rope conveyor for sequentially conveying the pieces exhausted from the piece aligning unit in a neck portion upward position as suspended therefrom, a piece inverting mechanism for attracting and holding the pieces conveyed via the rope conveyor and inverting the pieces to neck portion downward position during the turning operation of the pieces at substantially 180.degree. in a horizontal plane, a jig feeding mechanism for feeding jigs circulated at the heating and blowing mold of the blow-molding machine at predetermined pitch to the vicinity of the piece inverting mechanism, and a piece inserting mechanism for clamping the piece attracted and held by the piece inverting mechanism via a pair of clamp pawls and downwardly moving the piece while stepwisely rotating the piece substantially at 90.degree. in a horizontal plane thereby to insert the piece into the jig of the jig feeding mechanism.

Device for supplying pieces for blow-molding containers

A transparent thin bottle-shaped container is produced by means of a technology for biaxial orientation blow molding a cylindrical piece with a bottom from polyethylene terephthalate material. The pieces are molded in large number in each injection molding process of an injection molding machine. The pieces thus formed immediately after the injection molding are held simultaneously in large number at the gates integrally projected therefrom by a base plate moved forward at the front of the mold in the injection molding machine. They are then conveyed to a gate cutting unit provided near the injection molding machine. The gates are cut from the pieces sequentially by the gate cutting unit and are conveyed onto a conveyor. The pieces are gradually cooled from the hot molded temperature during the conveyance and are additionally cooled while being conveyed on an oblique conveyor installed with a cooler to room temperature or lower predetermined temperature. The cooled pieces are then supplied to a heater immediately before entering a biaxial orientation blow molding process.

Device for removing and conveying injection-molded piece

A tranparent thin bottle-shaped container is produced by means of a technology for biaxial orientation blow molding a cylindrical piece with a bottom from polyethylene terephthalate material. The pieces are molded in large number in each injection molding process of an injection molding machine. The pieces thus formed immediately after the injection molding are held simultaneously in large number at the gates integrally projected therefrom by a base plate moved forward at the front of the mold in the injection molding machine. They are then conveyed to a gate cutting unit provided near the injection molding machine. The gates are cut from the pieces sequentially by the gate cutting unit and are conveyed onto a conveyor. A device for obliquely conveying pieces of cylindrical hollow shape with a bottom for forming a thin, transparent, bottle-shaped container from the floor level to the height for supplying the pieces to the mold of a blow-molding machine. The numerous pieces are simultaneously injection-molded from a polyethylene terephthalate resin via an injection molding machine, and are supplied to the mold of the blow-molding machine after being cooled to room temperature. Each of the pieces thus formed is conveyed via a rope conveyor in a vertically neck portion upward position as lifted from the conveyor, and is further conveyed obliquely upwardly by an oblique conveyor having a plurality of attachments attached to the conveyor's chain for supporting the pieces at the bottoms to exactly convey the pieces one by one to meet the molding speed of the blow-molding machine.
