There are provided a communication controller, a base station controller and a communication system that employs a connection control of roaming applied to WLL and efficiently makes a connection and continuously provides communication service even when a subscriber changes the area. An identification number management unit manages a home area identification number assigned to the subscriber terminal in the home area and a roaming area identification number assigned thereto in the roaming area. A call connection processing unit translates the home area identification number and the roaming area identification number into each other for call connection processing.

A method is provided for automatically adjusting the output signal level from a transmitting apparatus, in which the transmitting apparatus recognizes the distance to a receiving apparatus and automatically adjusts the signal output level. In a system in which a signal is transmitted from a transmitting apparatus via a coaxial cable to a receiving apparatus, the signal output from the transmitting apparatus is gradually changed, a judgment being made as to whether or not reception of the signal is possible at the receiving apparatus. When this condition is achieved, notification of the condition is made to the transmitting apparatus which when receiving this notification, sets the signal level to the signal level at that time, thereby setting the signal level to the level which is the receiving limit at the receiving apparatus. Thus the signal output level of the transmitting apparatus is set to a signal output level that corresponds to the length of the coaxial cable between the transmitting apparatus and the receiving apparatus.

Method of automatically adjusting the output voltage in a transmission

In a picture distribution method and device, a picture supply device is connected to a network and serves to supply prescribed picture sources to plural subscriber terminals through the network. The picture sources can be supplied to any subscriber terminal just when a supply demand for a picture source is made from the subscriber terminal, and a single picture source can be supplied to a large number of subscribers with a simple control operation. The picture supply device includes a first file for storing the picture sources, plural second files for temporarily storing the picture sources, a copying unit for copying any picture source in the first file into the second files, and a read-out unit provided for each second file for reading out the picture source stored in the second file. A transmitting unit is provided for transmitting the output line of the read-out unit to the subscriber circuit connected to the subscriber terminal to transmit the picture source to the subscriber terminal. An analyzer analyzes the picture-source supply demand from the subscriber terminal to perform identification of an address in the first file for the picture source, identification of an empty second file and identification of the subscriber circuit connected to the subscriber terminal.
