A saddle-riding type vehicle is provided in which a water-cooled internal combustion engine, a radiator and a fuel tank are supported on a vehicle body frame. A canister that collects fuel vaporized within the fuel tank is disposed in front of the radiator in a vehicle fore-and-aft direction when viewed from a side. This can enhance the effect in cooling the canister.

Saddle-riding type vehicle

A vehicle fuel supply structure with an improved fuel filter for easy maintenance of the fuel filter. A vehicle fuel supply structure includes fuel in a fuel tank that is sucked by a fuel pump and supplied to a fuel injection valve disposed in a throttle body via a secondary fuel filter adapted to filter the fuel to remove foreign matter therein. A regulator is provided for regulating fuel pressure. The secondary fuel filter, the regulator and the fuel injection valve are connected by fuel pipes. A third fuel filter is installed at least in an inlet side connecting portion between the regulator and a regulator inlet side fuel pipe, of the fuel pipes, on the side where fuel enters the regulator.

Fuel supply structure for vehicle

A quick connector includes a female member and a male member. The male member includes a retaining member to connect the male member and the female member. The retaining member includes an operated portion provided at an extending end of the extending portion and a claw portion. The female member includes a window portion with which the claw portion of the retaining member comes into engagement. The engagement is releasable by elastically deforming the operated portion of the retaining member toward the axis line of the male member. A release tool includes at least one operating portion which is configured to come into contact with the at least one operated portion of the retaining member to press the at least one operated portion toward the axis line of the male member so as to release connection between the male member and the female member.

The motorcycle includes a power unit having a crankcase of an internal combustion engine, the fuel injection system mounted to the power unit, a fuel tank, a fuel pump unit by which fuel in the fuel tank is supplied to the fuel injection system, and the fuel filter device. The fuel supply system for the motorcycle includes the fuel filter device that is cylindrical in shape, the pressure regulator cylindrical in shape is mounted to an outside portion of the fuel filter device, with its cylinder axis inclined against the cylinder axis of the fuel filter device. A fuel pipe extends from an outlet pipe of the pressure regulator to the fuel injection system in a connecting manner.

Fuel supply system for motorcycle

A motorcycle has a large accommodating space and an enlarged capacity of a fuel filter. The motorcycle includes: a fuel tank disposed on the upper side of the rear wheel and on the rear side of the luggage box; a rear fender provided between the rear frames and, disposed between the luggage box and the rear wheel, and covering the rear wheel on the front and upper sides of the rear wheel; a fuel supply path; and a fuel secondary filter. The rear fender is so disposed that its front portion faces a rear wall of the luggage box, the front portion is inclined rearwardly upward so that the distance thereto from the rear wall increases along an upward direction, and the fuel secondary filter is disposed between the rear wall of the luggage box and the front portion of the rear fender.

Motorcycle

The motorcycle includes a power unit having an output shaft in a crankcase of an internal combustion engine, a fuel injection system mounted to the power unit, the fuel tank, the fuel pump unit by which a fuel in the fuel tank is supplied to the fuel injection system through a fuel passage, the fuel filter device connected to the fuel passage on the downstream side relative to the fuel pump unit, and a shock absorber provided in a vertically oriented state on the front side of a rear wheel. The fuel supply system for the motorcycle includes the fuel pump unit being disposed outside the fuel tank, on the rear side of the output shaft and on the front side of the rear cushion, and the fuel filter device is disposed on the upper side of the crankcase.

A scooter-type vehicle can freely set a capacity of a fuel filter without being restricted by swing of a unit-swing type engine. A cross pipe is spanned between a pair of left and right lower frames and a lower end of a down frame is connected to a central portion of the cross pipe. A fuel filter is disposed so that its lower end is higher by distance than the lower end of cross pipe. The fuel filter is disposed between the down frame and the fuel tank. Since the fuel filter is disposed in front of the fuel tank, it is not restricted by the swing of an engine located rearward of the fuel tank. Therefore, a capacity of the fuel filter can freely be set.

Scooter-type vehicle

A fuel supply apparatus is provided having an increased curvature of radius of a fuel pipe. The fuel supply apparatus is provided with a pressure regulator, disposed at a middle portion of a fuel supply pipe interconnecting a fuel pump and an injector, in which fuel is supplied to the pressure regulator from the fuel pump via the fuel pipe, and is then supplied from the pressure regulator to the injector via a fuel pipe and extra fuel is returned from the pressure regulator to a fuel tank via a return pipe. The pressure regulator is disposed in front of a storage box, the fuel pipe and the return pipe are disposed on opposite sides of the storage box, respectively, the pressure regulator is disposed in front of the storage box, and the fuel pipe and the return pipe are disposed in a substantially U-shaped configuration.

Fuel supply apparatus and motorcycle including same

The motorcycle includes a power unit having a crankcase of an internal combustion engine, a throttle body mounted to the power unit, a fuel injection system mounted on the throttle body, a fuel tank, the fuel pump unit by which a fuel in the fuel tank is supplied to the fuel injection system, and the fuel filter device. The fuel supply system for the motorcycle includes the fuel filter device disposed so as to overlap with the throttle body when viewed in the vehicle width direction, an upper portion of an outer case of the fuel filter device is supported by an engine hanger boss for fixing the power unit to a body frame of the motorcycle, and a lower portion of the outer case is supported by the crankcase.

A scooter-type vehicle can freely set a capacity of a fuel filter without being restricted by swing of a unit-swing type engine. A fuel supply device includes a fuel tank and a fuel supply passage for supplying fuel to an engine. A pump-anterior filter for purifying the fuel in the fuel tank, a fuel pump, a fuel filter disposed on the downstream side of the fuel pump, and an injector for injecting fuel are arranged on the fuel supply passage in this order. The fuel filter is disposed between the upper surface of the fuel tank and the step floor. The size of the fuel filter can freely be set without being restricted by swing of the engine located rearward of the fuel tank.
