The present invention provides a method for forming a pixel element. The method comprises: forming a first patterned metal layer within the pixel area; forming an insulation layer on the first patterned metal layer; forming a semiconductor layer on the insulation layer; patterning the semiconductor layer to form bend seed generation portion; and forming a second metal layer to connect the semiconductor layer.

Pixel element of liquid crystal display and method for producing the same

The present invention provides a pixel driving method for a liquid crystal display. The pixel includes a storage capacitor and a liquid crystal capacitor. The pixel driving method includes steps of: providing a common voltage signal to a liquid crystal capacitor, and providing a bias signal to a storage capacitor wherein the bias signal is synchronized with the common voltage signal and the amplitude of the bias signal is larger than that of the common voltage signal.

Pixel driving method, pixel driving device and liquid crystal display using thereof

A method for driving pixels of a display panel is provided. The display panel includes a first gate line coupled to a gate of a first-switch transistor, wherein a source of the first-switch transistor is coupled to a liquid crystal capacitor and a first-storage capacitor. The liquid crystal capacitor includes a pixel electrode and a common electrode. A terminal of the first-storage capacitor is coupled to a second gate line. First, a first modulation signal is provided to the common electrode. Next, the first-switch transistor is turned on by the first gate line. Next, a second modulation signal is provided to the second gate line after the first-switch transistor is turned on. Wherein, the second modulation signal enables a second-switch transistor coupled to the second gate line to operate in the cut-off region. And the first and second modulation signals are in phase.

An exemplary embodiment of a photo element comprises a first line, a second line, a switch transistor, and a photo transistor. The switch transistor has a first electrode, a second electrode, and a first gate. One of the first electrode and the second electrode is electrically coupled to the first line, and the first gate is electrically coupled to the second line. The photo transistor is electrically coupled to the switch transistor and arranged to detect light. The photo transistor has a third electrode, a fourth electrode, and a second gate. At least one of the switch transistor and the photo transistor is an asymmetric transistor.

A thin film transistor liquid crystal display includes a substrate, a first conductive line disposed on the substrate, an inorganic insulating layer covering the substrate, a transparent electrode attached to the inorganic insulating layer, a second conductive line crossing the first conductive line, an inorganic passivation layer covering the substrate and a pixel electrode attached to the inorganic passivation layer and overlapping the transparent electrode and a part of the first conductive line.

Liquid crystal display with high aperture ratio

A photo-sensitive element, a readout pixel with the photo-sensitive element, and a liquid crystal display with the readout pixels are described. The photo-sensitive element includes a switch TFT and a photo detecting device. The gate electrode of the switch TFT is electrically connected to a switch line and the source electrode of the switch TFT is electrically connected to a readout line. The photo detecting device is connected between the switch line and the drain electrode of the switch TFT for detecting the brightness of a light incident thereon. The photo detecting device is preferably a photo TFT, a photo diode, or a light sensitive resistor. The photo TFT and the switch TFT are preferably amorphous silicon transistors. The switch line is preferably a gate line disposed on the TFT array substrate of the liquid crystal display.
