A driving apparatus and an operation method thereof are provided. The driving apparatus includes a first driving circuit and a second driving circuit. The first driving circuit suspends performing at least one of a display driving operation and a touch sensing operation during a skip period under a driving mode, and the first driving circuit performs the at least one of the display driving operation and the touch sensing operation outside the skip period under the driving mode. The second driving circuit is coupled to the first driving circuit. The second driving circuit performs a fingerprint sensing operation during the skip period.

Method for driving touch panel and related touch control circuit

A signal processing circuit includes a driving signal generator and an encoder. The driving signal generator is configured to generate a driving signal. The encoder includes a multiplexer, a plurality of driver/receiver circuits and a summation circuit. The multiplexer is configured to receive multiple sensing signals in response to the driving signal. Among the driver/receiver circuits, a first driver/receiver circuit is configured to receive at least one first sensing signal, and apply a first gain to the first sensing signal to generate a first encoded signal; and a second driver/receiver circuit is configured to receive at least one second sensing signal other than the first sensing signal, and apply a second gain different from the first gain to the second sensing signal to generate a second encoded signal. The summation circuit is configured to sum up the first encoded signal and the second encoded signal to generate an encoded data.

Signal processing circuit and method

A fingerprint signal processing circuit for a fingerprint sensor configured to sense light from a display panel touchable by a finger includes an analog front-end (AFE) circuit and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The AFE circuit is configured to receive an image signal from at least one sensing pixel of the fingerprint sensor and generate an analog output signal. The AFE circuit includes a gain circuit, which is configured to receive a compensation signal and process the image signal according to the compensation signal to generate the analog output signal, wherein a signal value of the compensation signal corresponds to a touched position of the finger in the fingerprint sensor. The ADC, coupled to the AFE circuit, is configured to convert the analog output signal into a digital code.

Fingerprint signal processing circuit and method for signal compensation in analog front-end

A control method for an optical fingerprint sensor and a touch controller is provided, for canceling or reducing capacitive loading. The optical fingerprint sensor includes a plurality of pixels, and each of the pixels has a first control signal line and a second control signal line. Each of the pixels is further coupled to a first voltage source line, a second voltage source line and a sensing line. The control method includes the step of configuring at least one of the first control signal line, the second control signal line, the first voltage source line, the second voltage source line and the sensing line to be floating when the touch controller is in a touch operation period.

Control method for optical fingerprint sensor and touch controller

A driving apparatus and an operation method thereof are provided. The driving apparatus includes a first driving circuit and a second driving circuit. The first driving circuit performs a first driving mode on a panel. The first driving circuit performs the first driving mode during a first frame period among a plurality of frame periods and skips the first driving mode during a first skip period between the first frame period and a second frame period among the frame periods. The first driving circuit outputs timing control signal including a timing that the first driving mode is skipped. The second driving circuit is coupled to the first driving circuit to receive the timing control signal. The second driving circuit performs a fingerprint sensing operation different from the first driving mode on the panel according to the timing control signal during the first skip period.

A touch-panel control apparatus and an operation method thereof are provided. The touch-panel control apparatus includes a fingerprint sensing circuit, a touch detection circuit, and an application processor. The fingerprint sensing circuit is coupled to a touch panel to sense a fingerprint of an object. The touch detection circuit is coupled to the touch panel to detect a touch behavior of the object on the touch panel. The application processor is coupled to the fingerprint sensing circuit and the touch detection circuit. The application processor is configured to enter an encryption mode to sense the fingerprint via the fingerprint sensing circuit. The application processor detects the touch behavior via the touch detection circuit in the encryption mode. When the touch behavior changes in the encryption mode, the application processor ends the encryption mode early.

Touch-panel control apparatus and operation method thereof

A signal processing circuit is provided. The signal processing circuit includes an analog-front-end circuit and a filter circuit. The analog-front-end circuit is configured to receive a sensing signal from a touch panel and perform a signal capture operation on the sensing signal to output a current signal. The filter circuit is coupled to the analog-front-end circuit. The filter circuit is configured to receive the current signal from the analog-front-end circuit and perform a signal filter operation on the current signal to output a first voltage signal. The filter circuit includes an anti-aliasing filter and a comb filter coupled in series.

Signal processing circuit for processing sensing signal from touch panel

A phase compensation method for multi-scan in touch sensing system is provided. The phase compensation method includes the following steps. A plurality of carrier signals are received, and a demodulating operation is preformed on each of the carrier signals to obtain a first component signal and a second component signal of each of the carrier signals. An inverse matrix operation is respectively preformed on the first component signal and the second component signal both demodulated by the demodulating operation. A signal mixing operation is preformed on the first component signal and the second component signal both processed by the inverse matrix operation to obtain raw data of each of the carrier signals. Furthermore, a phase compensation circuit applying afore-said phase compensation method is also provided.

Phase compensation method for multi-scan in touch sensing system and phase compensation circuit thereof

A method for hybrid touch sensing for detecting a normal touch and a force touch concurrently is provided. The method includes the following steps. Provide a first driving signal to a first capacitor, wherein the first driving signal is a periodic signal with a first frequency. Provide a second driving signal to a second capacitor, wherein the second driving signal is a periodic signal with a second frequency different from the first frequency. Generate a composite sensing signal by feeding the first driving signal and the second driving signal to a front-end circuit. Extract information from the composite sensing signal to calculate a first change in capacitance of the first capacitor and a second change in capacitance of the second capacitor to detect the normal touch and the force touch concurrently.

Method and device for hybrid touch sensing

A carrier signal detection apparatus, a touch control apparatus and detection methods thereof are provided. The carrier signal detection apparatus includes an analog to digital converting (ADC) apparatus and a filter. The ADC apparatus receives an analog input signal and converts the analog input signal to a digital signal. The filter receives the digital signal and accumulates the digital signal according to a delay time for generating a carrier signal detection result.

A touch panel and a display apparatus are provided. The touch panel includes a substrate, first sensing lines, second sensing lines, first extending portions, second extending portions, and insulation pads. The first sensing lines are disposed on the substrate in parallel with a first direction. The second sensing lines are disposed on the substrate in parallel with a second direction. The first sensing lines intersect the second sensing lines to define meshes. The first extending portions are connected to the first sensing lines and extended toward the meshes. The second extending portions are connected to the second sensing lines and extended toward the meshes. The first extending portions and the second extending portions are distributed next to each other in the meshes. The insulation pads are disposed at where the first sensing lines intersect the second sensing lines to insulate the first sensing lines from the second sensing lines.

Touch panel and display apparatus

A sensing and driving apparatus suitable for a sensing interface is provided. The sensing and driving apparatus includes a driving module and a sensing unit. The driving module outputs a first reference signal and a second reference signal which have different polarities with each other, and respectively transmits the first reference signal and the second reference signal to a first driving line and a second driving line of the sensing interface so as to generate a first sensing signal during a first period. The sensing unit receives the first sensing signal and detects a change of the first signal so as to generate a sensing result. A sensing and driving method, a touch sensing system and a device using the same are also provided herein.
