A method of handling signal transmission applicable to a display system includes a plurality of steps. The steps include transmitting a reset signal embedded in a first data signal to each of at least one source driver via a first data channel, generating a first control signal for setting the at least one source driver, and transmitting the first control signal embedded in a second data signal to each of the at least one source driver via a second data channel when the reset signal is transmitted via the first data channel.

Method and apparatus of handling signal transmission applicable to display system

A data control circuit includes an output stage circuit, a switch circuit, and an impedance module. The output stage circuit outputs a data signal. An input terminal of the switch circuit is coupled to an output terminal of the output stage circuit, and an output terminal of the switch circuit is coupled to a post-stage circuit. According to a control of a control signal, the switch circuit determines whether to transmit the data signal of the output stage circuit to the post-stage circuit. The impedance module is configured in the output stage circuit, configured between the output stage circuit and the switch circuit, or configured in the switch circuit. Here, the impedance module reduces noise flowing from the switch circuit to the output stage circuit.

Data control circuit

A method of handling signal transmission applicable to a timing controller of a display system, wherein the timing controller is couplable to at least one source driver of the display system via a plurality of mini low voltage differential signaling (mini-LVDS) channels, includes transmitting a reset signal to each of the at least one source driver via a first mini-LVDS channel among the plurality of mini-LVDS channels; generating a first control signal for setting the at least one source driver; and transmitting the first control signal to each of the at least one source driver via a second mini-LVDS channel among the plurality of mini-LVDS channels when the reset signal is transmitted via the first mini-LVDS channel.

A liquid crystal display apparatus, a source driver, and a method for controlling polarity of driving signals thereof are provided. The source driver includes a signal receiving interface, a decoder, and a controller. The signal receiving interface receives an image data stream or an indication signal. The decoder obtains controlling information from the image data stream or the indication signal. The source driver includes a signal receiving interface, a decoder, and a controller. The signal receiving interface receives an image data stream or a data input/output indication signal. The decoder obtains polarity controlling information from the image data stream or the data input/output indication signal. The controller receives the polarity controlling information and decides driving polarities of a plurality of source driving signals generated by the source driver according to the polarity controlling information.

A multiple common voltage driving method adapted for a display is provided. The driving method includes following steps: taking a common-voltage switching time unit as a repeating time unit to provide a common voltage to define a reference voltage of the display. The common-voltage switching time unit has a plurality of different types of common-voltage pattern periods. A time length of each of the common-voltage pattern periods includes at least one frame. During the different types of the common-voltage pattern periods, the provided common voltage has different AC voltage swings or different DC voltage levels.

Multi-type common voltage driving method, common voltage control apparatus, and display driving circuit

A display driving method including the following steps is provided. A common voltage is provided to define a reference voltage of a display. The reference voltage is sequentially switched between a plurality of AC voltage swings, between a plurality of DC voltage levels, or between one or more AC voltage swings and one or more DC voltage levels. Each of the plurality of AC voltage swings is provided for a time length of one or more frames. The step of providing the common voltage is repeated one or more times. A display driving circuit using the same is also provided.

Display driving method with multi-type common voltages and display driving circuit using the same

A gate driving circuit and a driving method thereof are provided. The gate driving circuit includes a control signal generator and at least one gate channel set, each of the at least one gate channel set includes a plurality of gate channels, and the plurality of gate channels share a level shifter. The driving method includes generating a plurality of first control signals and a plurality of second control signals according to a gate driver start pulse, and determining that one of the gate channels uses the level shifter during a time period according to the plurality of first control signals and the plurality of second control signals. Therefore, the number of the level shifters can be decreased.

Gate driving circuit and driving method thereof

A gate driver includes a logic circuit for generating a plurality of buffer input signals and a modulation signal, a plurality of buffers each for generating a respective gate driving signal according to a corresponding one of the plurality of buffer input signals, and a switch module for controlling electrical connection between a first voltage source and the plurality of buffers. During a modulation period, the modulation signal indicates the switch module to break the electrical connection, and the plurality of buffer input signals are configured to short output terminals of the plurality of buffers so as to modulate the gate driving signals.

The present invention discloses a reception circuit capable of enhancing accuracy of signal reception. The reception circuit includes a variable termination resistance unit, coupled to at least one channel, for utilizing at least one termination resistance corresponding to the at least one channel to perform impedance matching, a receiver, coupled to the at least one channel, for receiving a calibration signal to generate a digital calibration signal, and a data determination control unit, for comparing the digital calibration signal with a predefined data, to adjust the at least one termination resistance.

Reception circuit

A source driver apparatus configured to drive a display panel is provided. The source driver apparatus includes a data operation circuit and a pixel driving circuit. The data operation circuit is configured to receive pixel data and perform a polarity determination operation on the pixel data to determine a polarity distribution information of pixels on the display panel. The pixel driving circuit is coupled to the data operation circuit. The pixel driving circuit is configured to drive the display panel according to the pixel data and the polarity distribution information. Furthermore, a driving method of the display panel is also provided.
